The PC retail game market is dead.
But PC game sales online only made around 14 billion last year and that isn't world wide, I think that's just the US market or UK/US markets.
See the thing people don't understand is that WOW makes something like 200 million a month, that's 1 game.
Console players/games see a console only game sell say 3 million and think that's heaps in terms of sales but compared to the PC market it'...
Anything made for 360 and ported to the PC is crap.
They use tiny screen sizes so the 360 doesn't get slowed down too much then everything is done in slow mo so the 360 doesn't get over whelmed and doesn't go slow and stall.
all 360 games on PC are like this.

The only reason why this kid had access to the CC info is because banks in the US hand out CC to 16 year olds.

The real first RTS is Dune made by Westwood.
Warcraft would have been made upon that engine and the whole C&C games are pretty much based off that 1 Dune game.

Sony own the headend, so can just packet sniff or keep adding extra checks on packets.
They could release a new FW that adds stuff to the packet header if it's there then you can get in if not well tough luck.

DX11 has been out ever since Win7 has been out but it's only in Win7, MS will never release it for anything else until Win8 comes out unless they do DX12.
And those "settings" are generally how tough the game is.

Um DX11 is already out, it's in Windows 7.
And the only place you can use DX11 is on Windows 7, with a GFX card that also supports DX11, which is just about all of the released cards these days.
The main problem is there's been very few PC games released that make any use of DX11.
That's why you can still use vista for all the newest games and don't have to worry about upgrading to win7 or have a DX11 GFX card.

Shops in Australia have sold PS3's with larger HD just haven't put up ads about it you simply ask the shop owner and they'd back up everything and you walk away with a 200+gig HD in your PS3 for a couple hundred.
Changing the HD in a PS3 isn't illegal either.

You'll find the PS3 version is proper 720p as the PS3 can't display a 1024x720 resolution.
The only res a PS3 can display that isn't proper HD is 572i and p
720p is HD not sub HD 1080p is FullHD.
Just about all if not all PC games released at the store these days are steam releases on the CD so having NPD even saying they are tracking PC game sales is really far fetched these days.
As all these steam install games won't work unless you are online and able to connect to steam.

I believe he's the head programmer at ID and he did make the whole last Quake engine by himself.
I think he spent 4-5 hours doing it and then has other people fill the world and tweak things as needed.
Just one of those people who can say we need a new engine to do this stuff has an idea then walks away and comes back an hour later with a complete engine that does what is required and for other people they are stuck for weeks jus...
