Agree, and PS3 is getting long in the tooth, so failure rates will be going up. I had to send my slim in for repair years ago.
While this may be true, I thought the death of Killzone was more due their failure to stick to what worked. KZ2 was the best Killzone, but they completely scrapped the feel of that with KZ3, which tried to be a COD clone.
@rawdog
so you’re being dense on purpose, got it.
Who in the world is disagreeing that you could share demo discs for free back in the day? I certainly got given some for free, and gave some away myself. It’s an objectively true statement. Are they not teaching logic in schools anymore?
@nino
you’re leaving out a very important word from the quote you yourself quoted earlier: “game.” As in, “playstation Game developers,” not “playstation developers.” Obviously, the quote refers to anyone who creates games to be played on playstation. Not just devs owned by Sony.
Striking Distance has created a PS version of their game, so the quote (again, which you yourself quoted) means this demo should be Two hours long. Let’s try to at least be consistent with...
By that logic: Callisto is more than $34, so the “trial”/demo should be Two hours, not One.
Ah, but you could share those floppies and discs for free, so…
Demo, trial…
“you say potayto, I say potahto, let’s call the whole thing off”
Demos should be free to everyone, not locked behind a paywall. I say this as a PS guy. Anybody remember game mag demos and shareware?
I meant the requirement that it have some form of parity between X and S… I might have gotten the “name” wrong.
Are you being dense on purpose, or do you just lack reading comprehension?
As explained above, the first comment was referring to couch coop IN GENERAL, meaning for ALL multiplatform games.
The second comment clarified this, explaining it applied to “other multiplats” as well. Your insistence that BG3 was not held up on PS ignores the plain meaning that numerous other games might not be able to get couch coop working on S either and therefore drop it from...
“it” refers to couch coop in that sentence. If this is happening with BG3, there is a nonzero chance it’s happening with other multiplats.
Ugh. As a big couch coop fan, it sucks to hear that S is not only holding it back on Xbox, it could very well hold it back on PS due to the MS parity clause!
The article concludes “Seeing that we are in the midst of the FTC v Xbox court hearing, it’s tempting to devolve into tribalism. Instead, we must remember not to interpret the fact that Xbox and PlayStation are making moves against each other as evidence for the console war. Rather, it’s evidence of a competition that forces each side to improve for the sake of the industry.”
Translation: MS buying entire publishers in an effort to “spend Sony out of business” is not the sa...
was that NeoGaf?
Diehard American patriot here, and I love me some US companies. But I have three Playstations and no Xboxen. And I know a few others that also defy your characterization.
In my limited experience, Xboxers tend to be corporate douches, not blue-collar guys.
The main goal is to beat Sony. Always has been:

Is that you Phil?
I am not a fan of how they have handled this game and shutting down the original, but it is F2P, so I am not opposed to them charging for content. For $15 I would hope they would be comparable to Borderlands 1 DLC tho.
It’s about damn time for a Resistance trilogy remaster!
