Wow, totally not cool! It looks like it's running at 30fps with a bunch of hiccups here and there... Why would they do this? I swear developers better start putting in some extreme effort in developing games for portables, as the Vita is one powerful machine that I know can do better than this! Shame on whoever developed this! It looks like a PS2 game and that's not acceptable for Vita!
Oh Audrey Drake, no disrespect, but your a Nintendo gal, and your opinion seems to be a little harsh on this game... Your constantly comparing the game to the other games it borrows from and have set the bar so high, that I feel your opinion is getting a little to biased for my taste. Judge not for what it borrows from but for what it is!
I've read some decent reviews that score it fairly for what it is, not what it borrows from. Sure it has glitches, but most third-part...
Good article! It's not a doomed article or a wishful one, it's one that points out a couple of views from developers and some factual information. I don't think it was bashing Sony in any sense or praising them, it was clearly pointing out a few flaws and some optimistic views. I think that Vita will find its footing and might be able to turn it around this holiday season.
They pointed out a great fact that, despite having a highly robust launch lineup and games ...
Sorry, but BBS was not a better game than DDD, in my honest opinion... Don't get me wrong, BBS is a great title and an excellent spin-off, but DDD truly feels like a sequel and picks up right were part two left off; it's also a bit longer and has a lot more to do and definitely looks better graphically, especially due to the 3D effect. I would actually recommend this title to anyone that missed out on all the spinoffs, due to the fact that it recaps all the previous entries via journa...
It's kind of hard to say that Metroid Fusion, which was Metroid 4, was a better game, as it was a direct sequel to Super Metroid, (Metroid3). It was indeed an awesome sequel but paled in comparison to the console release of Super Metroid. Super Metroid revolutionized everything and introduced a new way of exploring in video games, so much so that even today, games are still using the Metroid formula. Castlevania is the next game that implemented this style of gameplay and thus the name &q...
I have played the demo and toyed around with the retail version of Gravity Rush. I must say that it almost made me run and re-buy a Vita but I'm sticking to my guns until it gets a much more robust library of games; I mean come on, its the same price as a console with not nearly enough software. I'm all for Vita succeeding but will only support it when Sony starts taking their handheld market a bit more seriously... What I mean by that, well you get the picture look at E3 all about wo...
Look man, Nintendo did not admit anything was wrong the first four or five months and were singing the same song at a point, stating that the 3DS was getting confused with the original DS and that sales would pick up once people knew the difference. Well that of course wasn't the case, a bunch of triple A titles and a price-drop made that happen, not people figuring out it wasn't just a DS with 3D!
I have a 3DS and Wii along with every other console except Vita, because ...
I know he was cringing when he said that... 2million Vita's is unacceptable, and the faster Sony admits this the faster they could recover from such devastating sales! We all know that Sony reports combined sales of both the PSP and Vita, as well as both PS3 and PS2, when reporting their losses to investors. I just recently found out that they gave out something like 50-100k Vita's (maybe more), to a bunch of employees at gamestop and are counting each of those units as sales.
It's far from doomed!!! But I have to say that Sony should learn not to try and beat Nintendo with more power, as Nintendo has proven that it takes more than just power to win, ummm... three times now, (The DS, Wii, and now the 3DS). Sure its far from over. but with such a huge lead, (20 million 3DS's) and cheap price, Vita will be lucky if they move 20 million units by the time Nintendo drops their new handheld, in four years. By that time Nintendo will have sold 80-100 million 3DS...
How dare they try to report combined sales of the Vita and PSP and PS3 with PS2, those monsters... lmao JK! Oh well! if this is indeed true then I guess Sony's in real trouble... Good thing I'm no fanboy and support the other two and Sony! If Sony goes down their developers will continue to shine, just not on Sony systems. I really could care less so long as they do like Sega and migrate to Nintendo or Microsoft! I rather have two systems anyway, it's getting quite expensive suppo...
Umm, he's Puerto Rican genius lol...
Well said! You friend get a +bubble from me. I'm glad that some people realize this and aren't blinded by some fantasy...
People are funny, first they say; "The Wii U is based off 5-6 year old tech, it won't be able to run games any better than PS3/360!", and now people are all like, "Big deal, it's coming out 6-7 years later it should be able to do it!". I can't get enough of this...
The fact is that it's more modern tech, and like the 3DS, the Wii U will have some really neat shaders and other special tricks, that current gen systems can't do. Yes, I bel...
And people say Nintendo is dying lmao PLEASE! The 3DS XL has yet to be released stateside and its already breaking over 100K everywhere... DQX must be a huge hit as well to move all those Wii's, and lets not forget that its also a Wii U title so I guess we'll see...
This is journalism at its worst! I don't know what specs he's talking about and even if he knew the specs for the Wii U, next-gen specs are yet to be reviled; so how can he make an accurate assumption?!?! Another thing to factor, in this totally subjective article, is price for all three. Even if next-gen blows the Wii U out the water it won't come at a cheap price, but hey what do I know... I've just been a gamer for over 23 years. Same song and dance!
I was wondering when the adds would pop up! Lets get the marketing rolling and generate some new buzz...
Awesome! I've only beat this once and am not that interested in it, but seeing as the features are stacking up quite nicely, and the fact the the game seamlessly translates from the TV to the game-pad, I might be inclined to give it another run on the Wii U... I guess we'll have to wait and see.
Really good read! I thought it was going to be one of those articles favoring one or the other, but it was rather objective; which is good because most of these articles are subjective.
They both have made plenty of mistakes! The article should read, "Which has learned and benefited more from their early mistakes, the 3DS or the PS Vita"? What do you guys think? I'm actually curious to hear from people and what they think...
Why get mad or be surprised that this is happening? The 3DS now has two models and is priced reasonably for the core and general public. The Vita is also priced good for what kind of tech it has available, but the price-tag isn't as friendly for the general public, just the diehard fans. If people think that one or two pieces of software will change this, good for them! I disagree and believe that it will take a combination of both a price drop, and more software; anything short of that w...
Now this looks great I was quite disappointed with COD but this looks promising!
