FINALLY. I'm not sure what took so long but PS4 has had this for a while now. I wasn't really trying to pay a la carte. Guess I will have to play my PS Vita some more now.
So then what about Xbox One?
No. I hate overly long games. Some of us have lives outside of gaming or we want to experience other titles. Plus most people get bored if a title is too long. To me a game is too long if it takes over 35 hours to beat the main campaign/story.
Believe it or not, I like 13 more than I liked 12. I just wasn't a huge fan of 12. That's not to say it was bad, just overrated. Although I do like how it got rid of the random enemy encounters.
They should remaster MGS 4 and release it on Xbox One and PS4.
I am not a casual and I don't like long open world games. They get boring after a while and you never end up finishing the story. Plus some of us either have a life outside of gaming or want to spend our time playing other titles.
This probably has something to do with Square Enix revealing the PS4 release date of Tomb Raider before the Xbox One version was even released... Which in my opinion was a stupid mistake as now people won't feel compelled to buy it on Xbox now that they know it's coming to PS4.
I personally hate most open world games. Exceptions being games like Assassin's Creed, GTA, and The Witcher.
Why does Square Enix even need to justify the Microsoft deal? Sony makes deals like this all the time you never hear Xbox gamers whining about it.
Biggest release of this gen? Whoa buddy slow down. Not everybody is a fan of Fallout. Realistically, Halo 5 will probably sell more copies than Fallout 4, and that is an exclusive title.
I plan on picking up Sunset Overdrive eventually. I have just been too preoccupied playing other games and haven't found the time for it yet.
Timed exclusives just seem stupid to me. Who cares that you have to wait a year to play a game? During that year you are "waiting" you will probably have your hands full playing other games anyway. And a lot of gamers wait months before picking up new titles anyway. The only way a timed exclusive would be a good idea is if it was for like 3 or 4 years.
It was stupid of Square Enix to reveal the PS4 release date before the Xbox One version launched. That being said, if Microsoft wants to compete this gen, they need to get 3rd party developers to develop long term exclusives for the Xbox One and not stupid 1 year exclusives like with this new Tomb Raider game.
It did with me. Once I heard the E3 backwards compatibility announcement, I went and bought an Xbox One the following week. BC was a big deal to me because there are many games on the 360 that I just never got around to playing like Vanquish and Metal Gear Rising.
When I went to buy my Xbox One last month, they were all sold out at multiple stores. This was around the time of E3. So people are definitely buying Xbox Ones, at least in America.
The first game was 1080p so why wouldn't the 2nd game be 1080p?
Xbox does have the best exclusives. This year alone Xbox is getting Rare Replay, Gears Ultimate, Rise of the Tomb Raider, Fable Legends, Forza 6, and Halo 5. That's not even counting 2016 where Xbox gets Cuphead, Quantam Break, Scalebound, Gears 4, Crackdown etc. And that is not even counting whatever they will reveal at Gamescom next month.
If the Xbox One gets the best games, does it really matter how "popular" the PS4 is? At the end of the day, games are what really matter, not hype or popularity. And as it stands right now, the Xbox One is getting the best exclusives. That may not be the case in the future as we saw with the Xbox 360 starting out with decent exclusives and then PS3 getting most of the best ones the last half of the gen, but that is how it is now.
Ah I remember playing the first one back when I was a kid. It was pretty fun back then, but it has been a while since that franchise has been visited and I don't know if a new entry would be any good.
It's only selling well due to unwarranted Hype, as the PS4 certainly doesn't have better games than the Xbox One. PS3 had a bunch of good exclusives so people just assume PS4 is gonna have the same when in reality, Xbox One is getting all the best exclusives so far.
