As someone who has bought games from both, I really don't that much of a difference. As long as I get to play the game that is all that really matters to me.
Perhaps Microsoft feels as if Scorpio is what the Xbox One should have been and in that sense they don't consider it another generation.
I never did get a chance to play Black Ops 2, so I would love for it to come to BC. It's taken them so long that I almost bought it for PC.
The Last Guardian is a "new" IP, but it's from an established developer (Team ICO).
PS4 has sold almost twice as many consoles though. So naturally PS4 games are gonna sell more than Xbox One games. You can't really compare software sales between Xbox One vs PS4 unless you do it relative to how much each console has sold.
Agreed. That's why I only bought 2 games in the sale. I had the money for more, but buying stuff just because it's on sale is a waste of money. Do I have a steam backlog? Yes, but it only consist of like 2 games because by the time I finish the game I am currently on, chances are the game I want to play will be on sale in the near future.
I guess Quantum Break doesn't count with it's April 2016 release date.
I couldn't wait. So I downloaded AC3 for PC when Ubisoft was giving it away for free.
@Doopy
Nope. Black Ops 2 is still not backwards compatible.
I've played both and both are great games, but Sunset Overdrive is better than Quantum Break. SO is one of if not my favorite game of this gen.
Agreed. Just because something is popular doesn't make it the best product. The Apple Iphone was/is insanely popular, but there are/were superior phones on the market. A lot of people don't care what the best product is, they just want what they see everybody else getting. You see that with 3DS vs. PS Vita and with PS4 vs Xbox One.
Exactly. I never understood where that sentiment came from in the video game community. Gamer's obsession with open world games caused developers to force open worlds on games that really didn't benefit from having them. Just because a game is linear also doesn't make it a bad game.
I actually liked Final Fantasy XIII. I actually played the game until completion and as many know JRPGs can be quite long. I also played the sequel which was also pretty good. I never did play Lightning Returns, but I will probably get around to playing it if they release it for BC on X1 or I might just buy the PC version. I'm one of those people that if I don't like a game, then I won't continue to play it(exception being COD Black Ops III). That being said, I believe FFXIII rece...
Cases are more than 10 dollars. That's absurd.
Perhaps it's because PS4 doesn't have any other games worth playing. Xbox just got Gears 4 and is about to receive Dead Rising 4 tomorrow.
Quantum Break wasn't a disappointment. The only thing that I didn't like about the game was that I felt too much of the story was told through collectibles/documents. The time powers in QB were actually pretty cool.
I disagree. The multiplayer in Gears is addicting and not many games can claim that. I've sunk hours into every entry in the series and the gameplay despite changing very little from entry to entry doesn't get old. The story is decent and the graphics tend to be pretty good. It's definitely not overhyped.
Turn-based on new mainstream AAA games isn't real popular. Pokemon established itself when turn-based was really big. I personally don't mind turn-based combat, but I can see where some might not like it.
I wouldn't worry so much about Gears 4. If I remember correctly, Gears Ultimate Edition only sold 280k it's first week but it now sits at a little over 3 million physical sales on Xbox One alone making it one of the consoles best selling games. Now compare that with Gears 4 that sold 600k it's first week. Not everybody buys games the first day or week that they come out.
Not gonna lie, I probably won't get RE7 and I usually buy all of the RE games. The trailers didn't really appeal to me.
