I'm sorry but from anybodys point of view these games are far far different. heavy Rain even in this early stage has demod some v impressive graphics, the details on the characters is amazing - I watched the alan wake vid on HD and whilst it is nice, it is not league defining, its nothing we haven't seen before. Of course, that's just my opinion.
It makes me sad that these stores do this for just 360, it's no doubt this helps towards the increase in 360 sales so why can't they do it for other consoles too?
I can't believe we are still having these conversations! We all surely know by now that it's down to good programming? I will use one example (because that is all I need). Uncharted: Drakes Fortune. Open world, no load screens, no pop-in, no install and some of the best graphics to date. There you go, we know it can be done, so stop blaming the PS3 when it is in fact the devs that need to optimize.

It has over 50 levels out of the box which is a vast amount, so even without the whole world creating levels there is plenty to do.
Its funny how one little comment, and the whole world believes what they say. So what now if a different website/mag says PS3 looks slightly better - then what? Its so stupid that people get so worried about these comments. Somebody already posted 2 other websites saying the versions are the same, so they're wrong? its personal opinion and settings, trust no-one but yourself.

Hmmm, think I set myself up for disappointment. I was expecting something visually stunning but what I got was a pretty standard vid, nothing special really. Oh well they ages to release so I'm sure by the time it comes out they will have improved on it anyhow
What I cant understand is why all the reviews say it improves on all aspects of MotorStorm 1, but give it much less or the same of a score than MStorm 1..??

Hmmm, in two minds about this. I get the feeling that it will end up like motorstorm 2, whilst I love motorstorm and will be buying m2, the reviews have been highlighting that its more of the same, graphical update and bits here and there. Whilst I don't believe gears 2 will be penalized for this (because of journos) from a personal perspective that's how I see this game right now. Looks ok, but nothing mind blowing and from gameplay videos nothing new there either unfortunatly
To sum it up for me " a few annoying and frustrating moments in a generally excellent game " for me it goes down as underrated.
I thought I saw this on the UK Game website yesterday aswell, £299 for 40GB with free LBP, it's not there today hmmmmmm.
I think blu-ray discs are already quite a reasonable price, considering how new it still is. I'm sure dvd was pricier for longer, you can pretty much get a new blu-ray (dark knight, £14.99), which, IMO is a good price based on where we are in the blu-ray life cycle

This IS NOT news, surely N4G won't have a story EVERYTIME a game is released with an install, I'm surprised there isn't a news story saying "Socom to release with at least 1 instruction manual" just drop it now, nobody cares!

There is a new bundle coming out, why would someone buy one now knowing that? it's going to be low. It's so funny we see this every week like xbox are selling 20,000 or something...it's 700 odd more, gees.
the user reviews is so low because anti-sony fanboys are submitting low scores. hence they didn't go to the effort to write anything, they just pick a low score.
I too am in the Beta, co-op is so addictive and then last night I had a go on competitive which is just as great. Fishy i agree with most of what you say but I personally think the visuals are great, the style used works really well
