Its not that games dont sell well on ps3. Its simple business. to the game developer its sell on ps3 exclusivly and make $100000 or sell on multi and make $200000 (not actual figures!). This is why Sony is aware of this and has many 1st party developers who wont just go multi for more money, they will stay exclusive. Its the only tru way to guarantee an exclusive these days.
No they didnt. Have the best E3. ok, I need to elaborate, so, because MS have paid loads of money to SHARE an ip, announced 0 new games, they had the best E3...? yet a company that announces a price cut, 3 new ips (exclusives) and new PSN games and features doesn't. what a load of sweaty b@llx.
I thought Sonys was best out of the 3....like you say, they are not losing final fantasy but they also had the added benefit of revealing NEW games, new exclusives. Their show got my hyped for '08 and '09 big time. Yes getting FF was good for Microsoft, but really I cant believe its being used so much to put down other E3 displays. Its not hard for a company to say here have $50,0000 can we have this game too? at least sony are creating new games and not just flashing the cash.

We are barely half way through 2008, and we have a fantastic festive season lined up, then, already we know there some incredible games lined up for '09 and some unannounced ones. I'm guessing it will be $29.99, I have pre-ordered it in the uk for £29.99, our games are normally £39.99 so I think you can safely take at least $20 off your normal price
Sorry article is faaaar to vague, and just sounds unreliable and unprofessional. its 2 paragraphs of maybe this and sort of that. I'd wait for a better multiplayer report. For me when they said "the game is nearly finished" done it for me, its got 8 months of dev time left!
Microsoft's E3 was a bit poor, apart from this one announcement. and suddenly because they are sharing one part of a game, and only in the west, sony is dead...get real.

I don't think a £25 ($50) price cut is enough for someone who was interested in a PS3 to now say, ohhh i'm going to buy a 360 now. In my opinion its more about what they are going to get out of that console, what does the future hold, games wise, extra features etc etc, £25 wont sway a decision, especially when they would have to spend that extra on XBL anyway

No matter how much you flame, hate bait, want sony to fail, they wont. It might take time, but the life of the ps3 is progressing very well, I'm amazed as to how much additional functionality has been added since I bought mine. Sony will succeed, and if you want to enjoy the ride I suggest you dont do what I just did and read naff articles like this. Pathetic. and to clear one point up, which someone else said, it DOES show when you get a message in game.
I cannot believe all of the negative stories being posted on this site about FW 2.4 its a firmware update, a free one, an update which brings us extra features for our ps3. and all the world can do is find as many negatives as possible and publish them on the web. well, just for the record...Ive downloaded it and no problems, I think its brilliant and am enjoying the trophy support. Amazing how people suddenly expect all developers to stop what thier doing and have supportfor these games. ...
Since when did website start reviewing/doing opinions on firmware updates anyway, why do we need to see thier opinion its not like a game where it helps us make a decision, weird.
But hey, we can expect a little drop in sales, they announced a cheaper 80GB ps3, people are surely going to hold on a bit for that now huh?
