So, as an uncharted lover I am loving this great addition to the game.

I have to disagree with the people who have said it's just mediocre... the MP graphics are better than alot of single player games out there, I love the fact there is only a small number of people, it doesn't turn into a massive grenade rumble, I have had some great games, where I have been going up against 1 person, each of weaving in and out of areas, hiding, rolling, climbing until one of us gets the kill,...

I'm sure there will be a nice psp go + gt bundle upon release :)

40cal:

They are talking about potential links between PSP GT and PS3 GT, in that if you unlock a car on your psp version, that appears in your PS3 version and vice versa....

Also, who wants to sit there with their hands hovering, after a while that is going to be horribly uncomfortable..? am I misunderstanding this??

I think they may announce a price-cut at Gamescon in August, it was at that show last year they announced the new size hard drive package etc...

just a thought

C'mon people, they didn't get the real deal (MGS4) so now they HAVE to make it sound like they stole an exclusive. Despite the fact that this was never an exclusive, this was a new game announced as multi-platform, whist SONY still got a new MGS exclusive (the true sequel as Hideo said)

I didn't realise it was a competition? did I miss something?

If we are talking about who had a good show, well, msft and sony both did - but for sheer amount of high quality games shown AND innovation with the wand (working in a real game environment) AND new hardware AND new exclusives it has to be Sony. I REALLY am struggling to see what impressed people so much about msfts show? so its not about the games anymore?

have you tried pinching yourself?

Someone tell me if i'm wrong - but the halo video, not sure which one. He was walking around FPS style, but when he climbed ladders, you dont even see hands or anything, he just floats up? and then turning them valves the same thing, they just mysteriously turn? is that for real? where are his hands and getting the player immersed into the gameplay???

Ok, so exactly what is Microsoft doing for 'gamers' over the next 2 years - tell me i'm curious?

Let me know when it even comes close to Sony's line up of exclusives (and not JUST sequels either) and multiplatform games

This is hilarious, Microsoft had a very good show, I thought after theirs they had it in the bag - until I watched Sony's and realised they were not going to put on a half hearted performance, every minute of Sonys was brilliant and something new, loads of exclusives and new things to get excited about

I think this is great, if people can get on board as they have with LBP then it could open a whole new world - just the snippet they presented looked great, and easily accessible. Beautiful graphics and it looked as 'pick up and play' as mario kart

imagine if the racing game gets the same support as LBP....disney racers? MGS racers?......

It's just a battle of stealing exclusives these days! I'm just happy Sony have loads of 1st party devs so we can still have some exclusive games that can't be touched

Still seems a bit strange how Sony made a big thing of it being 'exclusive' from a console perspective...maybe by other platforms they mean psp...? atari lynx? ha ha

I agree, this looks just like one of those games you can pick up and have an instant bash at, and have fun! and then if you have more time, create some cars and tracks! awsome!

that is an incredible package, GT5 was already set to be massive but to add nascar and rally, brilliant, great surprise from Sony and PD

I was impressed at Msft's show yesterday, and I don't own a 360. And I honestly did not know what Sony had in store, and whether it would compete, but, I am happy to say I was suprised, for 2 hours Sony did nothing but impress me with not only PS3 goodness, but some AMAZING psp goodness too, well done.

blackcanary: I remember too don't worry, people are clutching at straws because whilst MS had a good conference, Sony came out and blew them away. Simple.

That motion thing MS showed isn't far beyond eye toy and eye pet, sony have taken it a step further with the motion control they showed today, like I said earlier, i am not fussed about it too much, but that's why I am sooo pleased there are loads of great games coming too

I have to say I'm not a big fan of all this motion control stuff, but this one actually looks good and you can see how it would be used in games - could be interesting

Apparently someone else who claims to have access to a Sony source, said there are 3 announcements from Kojima at Sonys Press conference. This game for PS3, a PSP MGS and another one which hasn't been mentioned yet
