Heck i have more third party than first party on all my nintendo consoles, most of them really good titles.
The reason no one bought the wii u version over the xbox was simply actiivison and treyarch gave the wii u no really reason to buy the wii u version. Tell me which would you choose a bigger player count or splitscreen on the gamepad without the social features. On the wii i bought them used for the controls and from what ive heard they even screwed that up.
Is it me or does it look downgraded...
They have had them listed as unreleased demos for a while now. They've been helping dev. Saints row 4 and recently did Zone of the enders HD collection and Star wars kinect (but that's better left forgotten)
Same people make feel a shamed of being a Sony/Nintendo fan, you sir are one of them. I'll openly admit the Wii u simply isn't gonna be on the same level, the games will look great, but that's not why I buy Nintendo platforms.
They probably didn't add anything special, other than the extra cores, the fact that all the games are optimize for it. This alone will create better visuals than the pc counterpart.
Like the wii u the ps4 is going to be a gpu based system it doesn't need a huge cpu as some of it's processing on the gpu, so the cpu (which is 8 cores) really doesn't need to do as much work as they used to. Albeit the ps4 has far better memory/cpu/gpu.
With an 8-core processor, upgraded architecture, and gpgpu support. 2ghz is more than enough.
More than likely especially if they don't launch this year. The main reason i think the xbox was successful is it simply came first and when one person bought xbox live their friends bought it so they could play online with their friends. It created a domino effect of sales. Kinect is another factor, but i think that was a flash in the pan.
@Ebeneezer with the gpgpu architecture they wouldn't need to use any processors if they decide to put the cpu load onto the gpu it would put the 7 gb onto the gpu.
Actually if devs wanted to have 8gb devoted to the GPU as vram, they can. This is a benefit of unified memory
I'm not surprised, it was a jump imo, but it didn't seem like a jump 16x the ram would have allowed. To think this is only the beginning, we are in for one heck of a generation. It looks utterly amazing.
I think the top 5 games on each market shows the quality gap between mobile vs. Dedicated. Plus when mobile games come over to dedicated handhelds at the same price they have sold better. Gunman Clive is a great example and outsold both the android and ios versions.
If the gameplay is good it could do pretty good. The first one sold a million copies and that was when They were a smaller company
Come on anybody who bought the Wii u or even interested in it knew it wasn't going to be as powerful. It was common knowledge
Seeing as killzone shadow fall launches with the ps4 i don't think we will see a huge improvement in the next year, but honestly it looks pretty darn good as it is.
The one problem with it is the fact it could cannibalize sales because alot of people would be playing the ps4 games on vita instead of vita games. So if that does happen third parties won't be happy with that. It's a good feature for me, but i don't think it is gonna help the vita game sales.
As long as devs can get more detail at 30 fps, devs will use it. Along with 720p I don't think we will ever going to be a guaranteed 1080p60 even if it's possible and viable.
I'm looking forward to it, its a great game and it translates perfectly into 3d
Why do people think this is gonna be a gimmick, its pretty clear it will be using the social aspects like miiverse and psn (if they call it that on ps4). Otherwise we might see better framerates/lighting.
