The first quote was because the xbox1 is setup like pc development from the sdk and api. They have lots of knowledge with pc and less with the ps4 apis. The 2nd quote was because of past experiences with the 360 and they were hoping for the same this gen. Did you read the articles?
@asimleonheart they were simply referring to the api Microsoft uses. Which makes sense as they have more knowledge of direct x.
Stupid in that it's a waste and genius in that the bigger videos will end up making them money.
Meh i never had an issue with as a teen, then again i had the skinny ones. I actually got one of the big controllers as an adult and actually preferred the six button set up of it.
I loved the original xbox, I think i played it the most of the ps2 era consoles. Mainly because most multiplats were better on xbox at the time, it had bioware and sega support as well. Plus it had custom soundtracks :)
Read "Playable" 30 fps is playable as well. So no i didn't admit anything. Plus i'm just going to stick with forza 4 as it has more content and doesn't look too far off forza 5.
It's easy to make a great looking game, but when that game runs like crap then what's the point? Do i want a playable great looking game or a great looking low framerate game? Yeah give me the playable one.
So they're bad for making sure they have a clean environment? I don't know about you, but i wish it would have happened more on xbox 360 with the kids and annoying people.
This ip never got it's fair shake, to say this would rely on nostalgia is not fair. This is one of those game not very many people played and if nintendo could do it right a ip like this is what a lot of people want for the horror genre.
If you can stream the graphics of a ps3 game, why couldn't you stream graphics to help improve ps4 games. It might be different, but not impossible.
Even if the cloud does help the Xbox one, I'd think ps4 can easily make do cloud gaming as well they do have gaika.
They need to start making exclusives. The only thing remote play does is kill a small portion of vita software sales because that small portion will buy the ps4 version and play it from there. Start getting those system selling games like grand theft auto, gran turismo, a decent cod game and market them. Don't make them ports, but experience only available on portables. Heck killzone on psp is one of my favorite games on the psp just for that reason.
It wouldn't be the first time a day one patch ruined a game. It happened with the Wii u version of sonic racing as well.
They don't even look 3d they look like flat 2d sprites. Heck even super mario 64 did 2d fish and they MOVED away. Even nintendo put more effort on there fish 17 years ago. LMAO
Heck if 2k could pick up ncaa i'd be happy, i just want a 2k american football game.
Xbox 360 is kinda a weird beast imo. it's one of the only consoles that sold on the strength of multiplats. It had it's great exclusives, but the multiplats sold it because everyone was playing xbl instead of psn. Which is why we had most games sold better on xbox this gen. Sony has sold on it's huge variety of exclusives which is why i like Sony's consoles.
The screen might be 544p, but there are quite a bit of games that downscale the resolution, so it might not look as good as games with 544p resolution. On the other side of the ball though i hope they release some patches to play some of the unsupported games on it. I'd love to play a lot of the vita's library on the big screen.
Meh the original model ps3 had higher temperatures if i remember correctly. It's just a matter of venting it out and making sure it doesn't overheat, which i've heard very few reports on overheating.
Resolution can hurt a game if there is something in the distance in a game (example a sniper) it might be harder to see due to a lower pixel rate. Framerate is also important as well.
I believe a 11 year study in the uk says otherwise professor. http://venturebeat.com/2013...
