The wii and 3ds was all of these things, yet when it came down to it who's doing well? nintendo will survive.
Let's ask sega how that worked out. They're better off putting games out and at least supporting it then killing consumer confidence.
I really liked fps on wii, while the concept was there and it was great. It's a shame the fps didn't take off on wii, but the wii didn't have alot of power to make it easy to port.

Watching activison's history with the bond series the last few games actually went against call of duty and killed sells. Apparently activison wasn't smart enough to figure out what would happen and it killed my favorite bond developer (eurocom) and Bizarre Creations :(.
In other words "Cable is dying, lets block what's killing it"
I'm actually worried about it being under Sega more than gearbox. The fact sega allowed what gearbox did to be sold is sad. It was straight up fraud in the eyes of most.
So did colonial marines, but we were lied to. Ill wait till the review before I get my hopes up.
Heck I'd assume its to keep the game going along storywise. My luck, if we had a bunch of people instead of ai, I'd get a bunch of kids who wanna be dumb instead of helping.
The wisps weren't pointless they were pretty much replacements for the animals eggman would have other-wised kidnapped and gave the gameplay variety.
By simple i mean sonic vs. eggman. If amy knuckles and tails are there it should be strictly for gameplay like they were in sonic advance 3. Colors had a fun balance of eggman vs. sonic with tails being the side character.
Personally i'd like a more refined version of sonic lost world. From what i've seen and heard when the game is good it's great, but there are a alot of times where it's not. I did rather enjoy the last couple of sonic games.
They've already tried rebooting it with a story that involved humans that weren't eggman and it turned out horrible. Keep it simple it's worked for mario for this long and worked for generations and colors.
Socially it is wrong, but like many have said before there are so many game based on morality it would kinda be part of it. If it is in a game then it should be told before hand as a warning like torture and terrorism.
I don't care about the player count as long as the game is both balanced and the game remains fun. Sometimes less is more when it comes down to it. If ya have to many it can become chaotic or to less it becomes boring. Its a matter of balance.
There will always be a market for consoles. These new consoles are so easy to develop for most developers and can easily develop the games for them. With mobile devices they have limits on both memory they can store games on, battery, optimization and most of all controls.
I don't see how 1080p/60fps would be any different. I know rayman legends already did and i'd assume rayman origins did as well. They should just make a bundle game including origins, legends and the runners on android (my favorite android games).
Why? the thing that made people like call of duty was it's arcadey gameplay if you add those things it might as well be the other games. They do need a new engine though and some destruction. It's a tough line to walk imo you either change it and make other's happy while upsetting the existing fanbase or you go with what brought ya.
Yes it has and that is why having a cheap console is a good idea the cheapest console is best suited for the middle class as an entry console for gaming.
They were saying that about the 3ds only a year and a half ago, if anything was to be seriously in trouble by tablets it was the 3ds. The wii u is a console and if nintendo would market it as such it wouldn't be a problem, but nintendo's marketing sucks horribly.
