If movies can be, why can't games? Even gaming itself has many similarities to movies you have these games that go after your action audience and games that give you great experiences/emotion. In alot of ways it could be argued that movies are simply a more involving art than movies.
Yes for certain games, but other games dont from what I've heard GTA v and FIFA 14 don't work. Plus it isn't wirelessly compatible yet hence why I would like a patch.
If Sony released a patch on ps3 to fully support this controller i'd buy it in a heart beat. I'd love to use it for my ps3 and then when i get my ps4 use it on that.
Here is the changelog off of nintendo's site: Update Details:
We repaired the bug that disabled users from obtaining the Wonderful Figure No. 24 depending on the progress.
Adds improvements to overall software usability.
Personally the only problem i have with the ps3 is the handles with my hand my thumbs feel natural slightly above the start and select buttons. I actually had a pretty good 3rd party ps2 controller that looked alot like the ps4 controller and it was my favorite because of the extra length on the handles.
I'd imagine they got scared by the way splinter cell sold. Ubisoft probably saw that and thought it was due to the last month being busy.
@D_RoyJenkins that was 10 years ago. Recent history (the 3ds and wii) shows that mario kart can sell a console and with smash bros on the way that will help alot as well
I'm sure it's a possibility, but knowing gamestop i wouldn't be surprised if they put something on the case to avoid people doing this.
Heck i just jump off stuff with it rag doll effects ftw! XD
I really thought i'd pick this one up at full price. I might wait now. I loved the demo and thought it was amazing, but now i'm not sure. It wouldn't be the first time a demo was awesome for the full game to be disappointing.
Not so much downgraded as most of the polygons were places you wouldn't see so they rebalanced graphically with better shaders, no lod and more realtime physics. In all Honest i'd prefer the new option as changes in LOD always drives me nuts.
Meh i'm happy with the awesome zelda bundle (minus the fact it's digital).
Personally i think if the game is done well with motion controls it is often as good as traditional controls. I think they work well for fps like killzone and resistance 3 (after the patch). It's a shame they never got a traditional rts on consoles i think it would have been a selling point.
In a way you're right the wii was meant to focus on the wii remote, but at the same time they produced or supported the classic controller, gamecube, and classic controller pro. The main problem is for whatever reason no one ever supported them even though they were always a good option. The wii u thankfully has all traditional inputs.
I still want it i didn't like heavy rain all that much, but i played the demo of this and i'll be honest i was amazed by it. Out of what i played i can't see why it got worse reviews.
I think it had more to do with the lack of a hard drive on the wii u with the 8 gb install.
The problem with tablet games is no matter how good they look alot of them have huge file size already. If you have a tablet with out a sd card slot you'll be out of memory quick. I couldn't imagine how bad it would be if they had xbox1/ps4 quality graphics.
I don't blame them tbh like you said they shown some really basic stages. Even I, a very big mario fan, though it was kinda lame in comparison to a galaxy game. I'm looking very forward to it :). I'm already getting a wii u a couple weeks before m3dw's launch and i'm so hyped XD
I'm sure we might get some ports on current gen hardware if they are relevant when it comes out. If rumors are true they'll be using a new source engine. The original was very scale able and i'd think they'd continue that with source 2.
I'd love super Mario 64 with galaxy graphics ala the throwback galaxy. Ever since that level I've wanted the remake :-)
