I don't believe anyone suggested the marketing budget didn't help Kinect. It just didn't GUARANTEE success for Kinect. If it wasn't such a great product, it would not be selling anywhere near this well, $500 million marketing budget or not.
Why would these exclusive lists matter to anyone that already has their 360? Maybe there would be an argument to be had for someone who was currently deciding between the two consoles and could only get one, but if you already own a 360 then you have tons and tons of games to play in 2011, be they exclusives, console exclusives, multiplatform titles, Arcade games, Kinect titles, or Indie games.
I myself plan to buy more games for my 360 than any previous year. I already want ...
And your intelligence level is incredibly low if you think there is only 1 quality title releasing on the Xbox 360 in 2011.

Owning a 360, PS3, and Wii, I can say without a doubt that I will be buying far more games for my 360 in 2011 than the other two consoles, and I will be buying more games this year than probably any previous year. Wrong. San Andreas is the fictional state that includes the three cities of Los Santos (Los Angeles), San Fierro (San Francisco), and Las Venturas (Las Vegas). Los Angeles alone is Los Santos in the GTA universe.
Give me a break! Obviously, GTA is a huge priority over Agent. It's been nearly three years since we had a new console GTA and work on the next GTA started a month after GTA IV's release. Agent will be a looong way off. I believe they will announce GTA V soon after L.A. Noire's release. They don't want to steal the spotlight from that game now, but E3 sounds like the perfect place to announce the next GTA, hopefully for an early 2012 release.
So what are we going by now to judge quality; sales or reviews? It seems to keep flopping back and forth. You can't just change it every time to suit the specific game you're talking about.

I don't even know how they can argue that KZ is such a great franchise anymore, with KZ3's 85 on Metacritic. It just goes to show that the last game's scores were inflated by all the hype around the graphics. They're not as impressive compared to the compeitition anymore this time around, and the scores reflect that. Killzone is absolutely NOT an AAA franchise.
