Portal 2, step aside!
That is code for "the PS3 version will be slightly worse".
That seems HIGHLY unlikely.
Xbox 360 version - 94 with 27 critic reviews
PS3 version - 94 with 17 critic reviews
Hmm... it's funny that practically every single multiplatform game gets far more reviews on the 360. It just goes to show which HD console is considered the lead console of this generation.
Amen brother.
They will grab on to any tiny little thing to bash Microsoft, the Xbox 360, and Kinect. Desperate times call for desperate measures!
This is cool and all, but why ruin all these Easter eggs? They are supposed to be discovered by the player, not spoiled before you even play the game.
It seems that every time the PS3 version gets a tiny bit of DLC for an open world game, it turns out to be the inferior version. See: Red Dead Redemption and Mafia II (above). And these lying developers keep insisting that both versions are equal up until release. I guess once the initial sales are in, it doesn't matter to them.
Hell, I am more excited for the Gears of War 3 beta than most full games this year. You can't even imagine how excited I am for September 20 to come.
This opens up so many possibilities!
RDR already continues after John dies, do why couldn't there be a sequel?
@JonnyTheMoney
So you're using an article that says Killzone 3 is the best looking console game to prove it looks better than Crysis 2, but then you list Uncharted 2 and God of War III as looking better than Killzone 3. Uh... logic fail?
Anyway, there is no denying that Crysis 2 is the best console game on a technical level. Almost all professional video game publications would agree. One may prefer Killzone 3's art direction, but Crysis 2 is doing mo...
The PS3 had the most big exclusives in 2009.
The 360 had the most big exclusives in 2010.
The PS3 has the most big exclusives in 2011.
See the pattern here? Sony is just blowing their load too quickly this year.
So many PS3 exclusives this year, yet so many flops. Only one AAA exclusive so far with LittleBigPlanet 2.
Metacritic
LittleBigPlanet 2 (92) - down 3 points from LBP
Killzone 3 (84) - down 7 points from KZ2
Yakuza 4 (78) - down 2 points from Yakuza 3
PlayStation Move Heroes (53)
MLB 11: The Show (89) - down 2 points from MLB 10
Motorstorm: Apocalypse (78) - down 4 points from MS:PR
SOCOM 4 (65) - up 2 points fro...
Funny, now that these studies are releasing showing that the new slim 360 models have a lower failure rate than the PS3 Slim. Well, I guess last place calls for desperate measures. =)
Maybe someone would want a different kind of experience?
@BrianG
LOL, the majority of gaming publications agree that Crysis 2 is the best-looking console game to date, and we all know the game runs slightly better on the 360. So a 360 game is now the best-looking console game of this gen.
Now that that is out of the way, who the hell cares that much about graphics to put them ahead of everything else in importance when judging a game?
At this point in the generation, exclusive games are not what is going to sell consoles. I don't know about Twisted Metal, but every Uncharted and Resistance fan already owns a PS3, because the series has only appeared on the PS3. I believe Gran Turismo 5 will have been the last big system seller exclusive for the PS3.
What's going to drive sales now are gadgets like Kinect and price drops.
Look again. Braid is in the list. It's the fourth game down.
