... predicted this a LONG time ago.
Pretty soon, and we'll also have DLC which has sports-outfits, like an Arsenal-kit, or a Dodgers outfit, etc.
Pretty much everything you can think off, we'll see it in LBP as DLC.
And by the time you've spent over 200 hundred bucks on DLC extras, they'll release LBP2 and all this DLC wont be compatible with the newer LBP, so you will be able to buy them all again.
I hate the way DLC is going.
I'd rather see...
... and apparently written by a Nintendo fan-buy, by the looks of it.
The 360 controller and the old Controller S for the Xbox are among the very best controllers ever (apart from the shoddy D-pads, which is supposedly fixed now with the LE green controller).
Also, the Saturn joypad was pretty good, as was the 6 buttoned Megadrive/Genesis controller (for their time).
I also quite like the Dual-Shock 3. Definately better than some of those listed he...
1: So far, the PS3 hasnt really entered many houses yet as a 'family-console'. There havent been enough kids 'suitable' for kids for the system yet that warranted a purchase, so therefore, a large portion of a potential market doesnt have the console YET, and wont buy this game YET. (wouldnt surprise me if the PS3-LBP bundle is selling REALLY well, and will keep selling well the coming month)
2: Word of mouth: LBP has been well known to US for a while now, but the average game...
... I think the main interest from developers consists of 'hey let's create a suit/costume/shirt/whatever for these avatars that showcase one of our icons, and charge 5 bucks for them!!!'
So pretty soon, we'll have 5 dollar Halo-suit avatars, or 'Conker T-shirts' for our Avatar to wear, or red 'Sonic the Hedgehog' shoes....
This could all go either way: easy cash-in, or the start of something really cool, when used in lots of stuff.
... Obama brought out the youth-vote. More and more young adults play games, violent games, they get a lot of pleasure out of it, and they KNOW it doesnt turn them or the kids into mindless killers who hate the world.
If Obama would attack the 'violent games', he will go against everything he, america, the first amendment, etc etc, stands for. He wont make that mistake.
Hillary COULD have. I can see her trying (again) to make it into a 'big' issue... but Obama knows that...
... I was going to pick up Crackdown when the DLC would become free, but it's been so long now since that game came out and the DLC still costs money, so screw them. Not interested anymore.
... I feel Shenmue's soundtrack should ALWAYS be in the top 5 of any 'best videogame music' list.
I'm not a Halo fan AT ALL, but the music in Halo 1 was terrific.
... but the sprites, the backgrounds, and the (choppy) animations all look extremely 'meh' to me.
For a true next-gen 2d sprite-based fighter, I'm more interested in what the next King of Fighters will bring us.

There havent been really much games coming out lately that have really been worth buying, or downloading. Loco Roco 2 probably, Midnight Club maybe, some of the sports games perhaps... but nothing major.
... as in, hardly anyone knows about Okami if they dont frequent sites or read the magazines.
The name also doesnt really 'stick', like a Mario, a Sonic, a Zelda, a Metroid, or whatever. We hear 'Okami' and we think " ...".
Also, maybe the art-style and the gameplay just isnt appealing to those who havent tried it. A 3d platformer with weird colours and a wolf in the lead role. Many people wont really understand how that would make a good fun game. They might...
... another game that went from 'must buy' to 'I'll wait till it hits the budget-bins'.
I'm getting really f-ing sick and tired of all this DLC crap.
... the single-player has some GREAT platforming levels, which are a lot of fun, both while playing it as well as just the design of it.
It's a great game, easily deserving a 9.
But it COULD have been easily deserved an undeniable 10 if they had kinda fixed the poor control of Sackboy.
Ah well... room for improvement for LBP2 :D
... I LOVE LBP, it's a digital version of Meccano, and the level design in the story mode is brilliant. Sackboy is great and cute etc...
... but the actual platforming, the GAMEPLAY, can be infuriating at times because of the poor control of Sackboy.
I really hope MM will fix that. They dont even have to fix the gameplay, but just make Sackboy some boots with good grip or something, which will affect how he lands.
... but I'll never ever pay for stuff like this, or for 'premium themes', or 'gamercards' or whatever.
... Where is Def Jam; Fight for New York!?
... but not the expensive ones with DVD's or Blu-rays on them, but magazines like GMR(Dutch magazine), GamesTM (Dutch version), and EDGE (subscription on the english version, cause buying it in the store would cost me 10,50 euro a magazine(!) )
I follow the news primarly through the internet though, but I like having old magazines to browse through while sitting on the can, or whenever. I still have those OLD old CVG's, Mean Machines, EGM's, GamesMasters, Amiga Power, etc etc e...
... is go to Metacritic and all rate the game extremely LOW, so people who check the site will be warned by the low user-rating!!!
Metacritic here I come...
... and any website who comes out with their TR review, after monday, and scores it lower than an 8, is now officially deemed 'bought' and unreliable, cause they caved in to studio pressure instead of doing their job and informing their public, ON TIME, about the quality of this product.
Utter utter FAIL from Eidos. I can only hope the idiot responsible for this is getting fired and will never work in this industry again.
... or better said, I certainly didnt mean it that way. Microsoft is just as annoyingly greedy, and maybe even more so.
I just hate all the DLC scamming and all the other ways they all try to grab some extra money out of our pockets for something small...
Sadly, it seems almost everyone in the industry are really taking advantage of these opportunities, and even more sadly, not in a way that's beneficial to us gamers.
However, I do hope it will bite them ...
