" a formal review should be static and representative of the experience that the consumer gets"

But the fact is games are no longer static, they are constantly being patched, extra features are added and DLC is being released and therefore if a consumer is looking at a review for a game that was released 6 months ago it is no longer representative of the experience the consumer gets

we've actually had it since launch, it just got a whole lot better

Thats in last place and still has enough money in the bank to keep on losing money for the next 15 years and still stay in business

From someone who is in the Beta program I agree with the hyperbole in this headline. So many useful changes made to the XB1 with this update it is fantastic

Looks like all the PS+ money is either going into Morpheus headset development or Sony's TV division cause it certainly isn't going into PSN

Driveclub will go down in history as the greatest 'bait and switch' executed in console history

I agree with you, but you won't get much love on this site for a comment like that. Even if it is completely grounded in logic

a new mass effect? Yeah. A mass effect collection? not so much

hmmmm, Forza, Gears, Fable, Halo, Quantum Break, Scalebound, Phantom Dust, Project Spark, Crackdown. seems to be a flaw in your logic there

Just so you are all aware, Polygon was founded with this idea in mind. Games are not a static medium, they are constantly changing and Polygon recognizes that the review score shouldn't be static either. If you are someone who pays attention to reviews and use them as a gauge to whether or not the game is worth buying wouldn't you prefer a score that indicates the state of the game currently, instead of when it was released?

and yet they gave Forza Horizon 2 a lower score than Driveclub? (before the adjustment) D4 the lowest score across the board for review sites? InFamous an 8.5 while DR3 and Ryse both scored a 7.5 and 6 respectively. So please point me to even one example where they have displayed a bias towards MS?

From my understanding The Verge received 700,000$ from MS to fund the documentary 'Press Reset' about the formation of Polygon. So I guess this is really more about people hating anything MS touches then it is about hating a website that often has some really quality journalism for a games website (not talking about reviews)

Somebody please explain to me why there is so much hatred towards Polygon?

learn the difference between multiplat development and first party development. Wanna know why Forza Horizon is so incredible?

The original dev blamed the CPU bottleneck. When comparing CPUs the PS4 is not more powerful than the XB1

The streets were empty in InFamous. Not a fair comparison
