Destiny already kinda screwed over all gamers with their mediocre game
the PS3 absolutely did have a more powerful CPU than both the XB1 and the PS4
The sheer scale of Azure cloud servers are a big part of it. They have 17 huge server farms around the world, and that number was 12 this time last year so they are obviously putting massive investment in it. At this point Gaikai is configured to only serve one purpose. Run the playstation games and compress the gameplay into a video and then send that video the players console where his controller input is sent back to that Gaikai server. Azure servers are a blank slate where you can mak...
IMO Destiny is the most disappointing game of the year. Its not a bad game, the mechanics are solid. It just didn't get even close to living up to the hype.
CoD 4 reinvented CoD
My only fear is the very existence of shareplay may affect the developers decision to include 'local multiplayer' in their games because it could effectively hinder sales. I love actually couch coop and it already is becoming such a rare feature.
1 TB hardrive is nice. I've filled up my 500GB already but with ext HDD support it doesn't much matter, I've got another 4GB free
Console bundles almost always include the game for free and there is no included.
bought my 360 for Oblivion
no shareplay shouldn't ever require a patch on the guest console. The host console is compressing the gameplay into a video and streaming that to the other console. No reason at all that would require a patch on the guest
Seriously if you are on the fence about buying an XB1 for this game alone, just do it. The game is fantastic and I've had an XB1 since launch, its on more hours of the day then any console I've ever owned
Forza 5 sold over 2 million copies. Its a racer
competitive MP maybe. I've played quite a bit of the MP already on SSOD. The frame drops are unnoticeable imo. And there hasn't been a game out this gen on either platform that has this much going on screen at one time. I prefer game devs try to innovate gameplay and not concentrate on absolute perfection when it comes to the technical end of things. Insomniac has done just that and the fan reception shows it paid off
Its for super nerds like me who eat this stuff up
uh what?
This is a pretty dumb list. I don't think I have to point out why
It's like so many of you just started console gaming this year.
"I don't think MS can close the gap"
Are you kidding me? The consoles haven't even been out a year, the gap the 360 had on the PS3 was way bigger by the time the PS3 and it still managed to sell more units by the end of its lifecycle. All I know is I look at my 360 friends list and their are a whole lot of friends I have you haven't upgraded to either console yet.
Well its also dependent on the quality of the software that is compressing the gameplay into video and sending it to the guest player in a fraction of a second. But you're right, if you're internet sucks this isn't going to work right no matter how solid their compression techniques are
Think I'm done with Bungie for good. They created one of my favorite franchises but I've pretty much had enough of all this BS. I know Activision shares some of the blame but if the game was great it would be easier to swallow all of the garbage that surrounds it like exclusive overpriced DLC for a game that is lacking in content to begin with
