So many act like this is gonna hurt sales. This game is gonna sell alot of copies
Like showing off suspend/resume and driveclub at the Feb 2013 PS4 reveal?
@sinspirit
Yes they use the same jaguar 8 core CPU chip and yes the XB1s does clock slightly higher but on top of that XB1 is heavily modified and each core performs at 6 ops/cycle per core as oppose to the PS4 which is at 4 ops/cycle. The XB1 CPU mem bus also gets 30gb/s as oppose to the PS4s 20gb/s, according to the MS engineers this was specifically done to avoid bottlenecks between the CPU and GPU. Feel free to PM me and I'll send ya all the links to back this up, but just a...
no it doesn't. You might appreciate it, I would literally use it once to see how it works and never use it again. XB features are so much more practical
Are you developing an XB1 game?? Please do tell how the agreement for xbox compute servers work between you and MS?
sorry did you mean to type 'bitter' ?
man, who really cares about slims?
@Ashby_JC Well I definitely know what you mean, there has been a few times where the monster just leaps away forever and is completely impossible to catch up with, but on the other hand, I played as the monster for two matches and absolutely got destroyed, I was desperately trying to run away and just couldn't manage it, seems to me its harder then it looks
I certainly know where you're coming from but once I got in with a group of guys who had mics it became a lot more fun. The actually tracking element becomes much more enjoyable. That being said, there is a 'take a break' option where you let a bot take over so obviously they've identified that chasing a monster for 10 min straight on foot isn't always a ton of fun. I don't consider this a solution, I consider it a fundamental game design problem
Yeah I've had very few issues. Took awhile to find a match the first time but after that, no lag and no real issues, certainly not unplayable, in fact, its pretty fun
I feel like there is a bit of confusion around what you are actually paying for with PS+. It was sold originally as a discounted game service, soon after we started getting free games with the subscription. When they make it mandatory for online gaming you only assume that they would be using that subscription to improve their online services but if they aren't raising the actual price of PS+ then something has got to give, either the quality or quantity of the free/discounted games or ...
don't think this has anything at all with having 3 OSs. And to be completely frank the XB1 doesn't have 3 OSs either it has one OS that runs three virtual OSs
Games fun but its not for everyone. It certainly is unique, I don't think I've played anything quite like it. More then half of the match is usually spent tracking the monster. This seemed incredibly boring the first few matches I played but once I hit a group of people who were all on mics it became a hell of a lot more fun. The actual balance between all the classes is really awesome too IMO if people start to figure out how to use them i.e. trapper holds the monster in place wh...
Don't think anybody is making that claim
part of being an Xbox fan at N4G. You get used to it
Whenever I see someone talk about the 'tiny pool' of ESRAM it is perfectly clear they don't have a clue what they are talking about.
And then you bring up GPGPU. Those benchmarks were specifically about GPGPU, the reason the PS4 is significantly better at it is because it depends on it, the CPU is gimped by high latency GDDR5 RAM. Thats right GDDR5 RAM has amazing bandwidth and awful latency which is why PCs use GDDR in their graphics cards and DDR for their C...
GDDR5. Great for graphics but a serious bottleneck for the CPU. We will see how this plays out over the next 5 - 10 years
until I see this 'twice the speed' show up in some kind of actually game I'm very skeptical of this.
What if Guerrillas and Santa Monicas new IP were Vita games?? Wouldn't that be funny??
when all the pieces finally fit together this will be the greatest game ever made
