No logical xbox fan or PS fan have ever stood behind exclusive DLC as a 'good thing'. I highly doubt it has an impact on sales and it just adds fuel to the fanboy fire.
And I'm getting tired of this extreme skepticism about the real power of the XB1. To this date there is not one game on PS4 that runs 1080p and a smooth 60fps. None of Sony's first party studios have been able to do it. The multiplats that try to pull it off end up running worse on the PS4 (i.e. mudered soul suspect)
So many people on this site go 'stronger GPU = stronger console' but that isn't how you accurately messure the strength of closed hardwar...
Just listened to Giantbomb podcast. The devs for the Witcher 3 said they are having a much easier time developing on the XB1 because they are used to DirectX. The PS4 is more trial an error. Go listen to it yourself if you don't believe me. Furthermore, this article was not from MS
Well keeping ownership of the IP was one of the stipulations Insomniac had when they were shopping this game around to publishers. No surprise, they expect to make sequels
He was head of MS game studios before he was head of Xbox
I believe you are thinking of Larry Hyrb
DLNA or GTFO
MS is releasing the XB1 in Japan and China (among other places) in Sept. You don't think they have a kickass show planned for TGS (which is also in Sept)?
IMO the only game that Sony showed me that I'm at all interested in is No Man's Sky and its not exclusive
8 player coop. Don't think InFamous can compete
I've heard rumors that TGS is gonna be a big show for MS this year. If Shenmue exists, expect to see it there
Honestly, Horizon has been the only racing game I've been able to get into in a very long time
Only issue with driveclub is the weather isn't showing up till after release. Who knows how long after release
It's not open world and therefore not worth comparing the two games.
So the problem is the Kinect works really well?
Prepare to be disappointed. This game is extremely ambitious and could be great but from what I've heard in all the dev interviews I'm not convinced it will be.
Doesn't seem to be any sort of progression hook, just exploration with no really motivation.
It seems there is no multiplayer in this game. Everytime a new player starts a game, a planet is made for them. You can go visit other planets (made by other players...sort of) but you won't...
Its a good point. Most of the people I know still have 360's and will be picking up an XB1 sometime soon in the future. I've asked 'em if the PS4 is appealing to them and the answer is always a resounding 'no'
Why would I order a console on Amazon when it is available in stores?
My XB1 has never had a disc of any sort inside of it and I doubt it ever will. But who knows maybe I'll move somewhere where they cap my internet. I guess that would have me switching to discs pretty quickly
they didn't make fighter within. They make middleware
