I'll give DC this one. Really, really impressed with how lighting is handled on FH2 though. Not just this video but the 20 min gameplay video that came out on Tuesday.
They all look great but I'm really looking forward to 'lovers in a dangerous space time'
actually getting a feel for how the games will turn out is more exciting to me. I like to see gameplay session and devs explaining the new systems they've designed
It gets more use then any console I've ever owned. I too love my Xbox One.
@big-finger I'm not implying that the XB1 is going to sell well in these markets, I'm suggesting that TGS is going to be a bigger year for MS then it ever has in the past
well apparently this beta is more about testing a business model than a service
I think you're going to be surprised at what MS is bringing to the table at TGS. TGS is usually very underwhelming but with the XB1 launching in Japan and China in September I have a feeling they are going to bring it.
for example, if you're into horror games the PS4 is a lock
Does it have the phrase "XBOX EXCLUSIVE" attached to it?
Then yeah
I always though Fez was okay but I could recognize that it was a special game and totally understood its praise. Once I heard more from Phil Fish I decided never to support one of his games again. The guy is a total tool
"In September 1997, Sony Computer Entertainment America signed a deal with Eidos to make console releases for the Tomb Raider franchise exclusive to the PlayStation, preventing the Sega Saturn or the Nintendo 64 from having any Tomb Raider game released for it until 2000, a deal that would prove very beneficial to Sony both in terms of revenue dollars and also in further cementing the PlayStation's growing reputation as the go-to system for must-have exclusive titles."
...
Seriously, if PS made this move, this site would be praising them non stop. Give it a rest N4G community. Its timed and you have Uncharted being released around the same time
how about MGS4. All previous titles are availble on Xbox platforms but not MGS4
Its pretty simple, there are still a ton of 360 owners who have not upgraded to next-gen consoles. These early numbers (though they are disheartening for MS) don't tell the whole picture. Give it a couple years. Not sure if the XB1 will overtake the PS4 in sales but it will certainly catch up. Lets not forget that the XB1 isn't even available in many markets, after Sept. it will be a much fairer fight
and what happens after 'the last chance?' The XB1 isn't even a year old yet. Using the cloud to off load processing has never been done (on a large scale anyways). I wouldn't expect to see games that really take advantage of this capability until 2016
I getting a little tired of people who know nothing about game development using phrases like 'lazy devs, or lazy companies'
Sure but there are less AI characters in Black Flag then any AC to date
Yes it very likely could be a mistake. Or it could be that Sony is being very careful about future lawsuits. But lets not overlook the fact that AC unity has more AI on screen then any PS4 game to date. This is going to require some serious CPU processing power and that is one area the PS4 falls short. If they have to do some GPGPU on one of the gpu cores it could have a serious effect on the resolution
If you spend all your time on N4G that is certainly the impression you get. In the real world though, I know plenty of people on 360 who will be upgrading to the XB1 soon. PS4 hasn't even crossed their minds
I feel the same way. Between Sept 9th and march of next year, there are way too many games coming out. I doubt I'll have the time to play them all
