I really wonder what genre it is I could go with a more serious stealth focused game, Sneaking around was always the best part of Sly Cooper.
That Mario Rabbids game sold me on the switch, and I hate rabbids and not really a mario fan (liked the old 2d but none of the 3d including odyssey interest me). That Xcom type game though, that really appeals to me. It looks like it fixes everything I disliked about Xcom (no huge delays between actions and turns).
Now with That and Zelda I feel it is worth my investment.
that mario game was better than anything ANYBODY showed. Xcom but polished, sign me up.
I was on IGNs site on Youtube. Every comment in the side box was about the lack of sound so I wasn't the only one. It was the wrong channel or source or whatever and instead of the trailers sound what was being broadcast was the audience sound, you could sort of hear the trailer but super muffled and was like diegetic sound in movies when there is a radio in the background.
I was very disappointed but I guess with Ubisoft selling me on Nintendo I can SWITCH my fanboy alliegience...
Agree sony sucked this year, disagree about Days Gone. The use of traps really made the game stand out for me.
that was terrible. No sound for first 10 minutes. Then Shawn flubbing lines and forgetting to announce things, especially when he started to leave the stage and then remembered "hell I got to announce Monster Hunter". They clearly were trying to fix the perceived issue with announcing things too early, and so they didn't show anything. Well I guess that's not entirely true they did show off a FF fishing game... I guess that is why Square needs to push back FF7 and KH3 to 202...
when you look at what was actually shown, not much there at all. Forza, Crackdown, Sea of Thieves, Super Lucky Tails, State Of Decay, and 4k minecraft textures, and Cuphead. There were a couple indy games that had timed exclusivity then all the big 3rd parties didn't even have extra content like Sony does with Destiny Assassins Creed Etc.
Now compare that to the already known ps4 exclusives

well not to get dragged into this, but haven't you learned by now. Until it is in your hands and actually running nothing you see at a conference means crap. You'd think the Power of the Cloud rigmarole would of jaded you to these false promises. I bet you when the system launches less than half the games that release will play at 4k 60fps, mostly the racers that a dreamcast could probably put out at 4k.
Well All they have to do to win is go on stage and say, Microsoft claims to have the "most diverse lineup of games" They seemed to be lacking in 1 key Genre... Here is Final Fantasy 7.
outside of a racist rant on stage there is no chance of failure for sony. they could not even show up and have an intern carry a sony viao laptop on the stage and load up the youtube file for last years e3 and they would still outdo what EA subjected us to yesterday.
that is too pricey. My local walmart doesn't even carry the PS4pro because of the extra 100 over the base model, no way they'll carry the scorpio when it is literally double the cost of the base.
I don't know what conference every youtuber out there saw, but the EA conference was utter trash. I checked out a few reviews and reactions and they all seem like they were paid off. The show was embarrassingly bad. If you were to get a stop watch, the talking to gameplay ratio would be probably 60/40 in favor of talking, and the talking was so boring. Some stupid guys from espn trying to do standup for 10 minutes, some youtuber stuck in front of the camera looking like a deer in headligh...
that set the bar for worst, god willing that bar won't get lowered further.

they should reboot pitfall as a game in the vein of uncharted and tomb raider. It is really the only Atari IP that could really work well in today's gaming world

So would I but microsoft doesn't have any NEW exciting games, that's the problem. It is a one or the other a system about the future or one about the past
the option is great, but I'd take an exciting NEW game over being able to play my old games on my system anyday. If you want to play the old games, just buy an old system (just bought a dreamcast today, now am eyeing marvel vs capcom 2 if I can get it at a decent price). It makes little sense to me to be WOW I CAN PLAY MY 360 games on my X1... well then just plug in you 360

It is e3 2015 revealing Shenmue 3. My thought process with the video is if sony tried to use bubsy like shenmue, ff7, or crash to wow the audience. the reality is crickets would be chirping because bubsy was bad and generic from the get go
Well EA made their own thing outside of E3 didn't they? Square and Konami are no longer doing press conferences and Nintendo stopped years ago...
With that said I would prefer it get bigger, not die out, the spectacle is special and it really wasn't there this year.
