That is why the switch has been outselling the xbox by a HUGE margin, and the graphic discrepancy between the switch and the standard xbox is greater than the difference between the PRO and the 1X, graphics don't matter games do and the xbox family of systems offers nothing that can't be played elsewhere.

You say online is a more sure thing but it's the oposite, and it's obvious.
With single player games the have a end. You could play 30 a year if you wanted. With online you are committed to a game, you got to protect your rank and k/d and aren't looking for the next thing. So the games canabalize the market while Zelda and Horizon hold hands and frollick in the field.

Uncharted, gow, and Horizon have all been cited as having budgets of around 30mil. Meaning even with a weak 2mil sold they'd be viable, luckily they all sold tons more. So yes sp games can and are profitable moreso, they can be sold 20yesrs from now, in 20 years we could get a switch classic edition and Zelda botw will still make Nintendo money. Where as lawbreakers is dead and soon as those servers go down it will never again make a single penny
3 Mario plus rabbids was perfection too, maybe a bit more niche but it was a much more polished xcom that brought a unique spin to the genre and took mario in a completely different direction than he's ever gone

best selling game gta followed by Fifa. Fifa is way way wayyyyyyyyyyyy down the list of sellers and isn't anywhere near even EAs best seller. Looking at VGcharts Fifa sold 11million copies, that is less than half of what GTA has sold and for reference almost every Mario game ever has sold better than Fifa
