DC Universe Online looks 6 years old and plays 10 years old, I did spend a bit of time with it (about 1.5 hours on a friends account just to get a feel) and came away feeling it was worse than marvel ultimate allience and everquest 1, yet seemed like it wanted to be a combo of the two, only with worse graphics and framerate than both!

I just got the Rift collectors edition for $20
it was $90 when it came out, you just gotta be patient, I'll sell my standard edition to someone at work for $30 and end up paying just a bit more than normal in the the long run!

i put halo odst in the 360 yesterday for the f of it while rift was downloading a 1gb patch and wanted to puke!!
at first i thought it looked as bad as a ps2 game, granted it was not quite that bad but man, it was ugly as hell!
3d gaming on pc is 100000000x better, theres like a grand total of 5 games that support 3d on consoles and they all look like SHIT when running in 3d
pc has about 5,000 games in 3d, all are enchanced by it without taking a visual sacrifice!

get over it, half life 2 is an archaic shooter, it was great for it's time just like doom and quake were, now I shudder to play a game with no Aim down sights and health packs, loading screens at odd intervals, sound effects that sound ripped out of the sci-fi channels catalog of 90's features.
just like I would not buy a car with a tape deck, all those 'mos that hang out at McDonald's and Big Boys...
all that matters is it be a launch title for the nextbox/720 and MS will not have to worry about sony at all
If they launch the new xbox next year with Halo 4 as a launch title and it is also released (in a lessar sub hd form like the last few halos) on 360.....

even with the release of rift, a very big, aaa mmo that copies and pastes WoW down to the "T" consuming about 3 million WOW players and Starcraft 2 canabalizing a good 5 million at launch at least, wow is currently sitting at 11.5 million subs!

crysis 1 maxed in dx10 with 16x anti aliasing and all settings cranked SHITS on anything in this demo of constant repeating textures.
Sure, the tech is impressive and maybe when some actual game designers/artists get their hands on it then we can talk.
As is stands now crysis destroys this demo in terms of visual fidelity and appeal!
