1-Being a license holder still allows you to play the game on the platform when you want online or offline . This is still different than the DRM that is linked to every download of an online purchase. No one actually thinks they own the game.
2-The PS4 & Switch can all install their games without an internet connection. (If I'm not mistaken even the Xbox only needs an internet connection once out the box.)
3-Many games...
People vote with your wallet and support Physical if you don't like the direction they could take it. Lets not just talk about it and do the opposite.

@Wulfer Dude like I pointed out before the Switch is loosing to a console that has over 80 plus million sold and has been on the market for a longer period of time. Japan is going to be the only market that the Switch will dominate over the PS4.
Japanese people's lifestyle works well with handheld gaming. But sales will also spike when they drop games like Final Fantasy 7 Remake, Death Stranding, Last of Us 2, Kingdom Hearts & Shenmue.
You do know that the ps4 still outsells the Switch on a regular basis and is on it;s way to over 90 million sold right?

I enjoyed it. The new guitar was a welcome change. Then always online portion was a terrible mistake.
Sony also has way more games to offer on the platform to play that potentially hurt their sales. For instance having Fortnite which is the most popular game ATM could stop people from picking up God of War.
Sony has to compete with the best of the AAA titles that are also released on the platform. Everyone buys Nintendo to just play Nintendo. To make the comparison is stupid AF.
You don't really need a Xbox console when you have a PC.

-Physical can be bought outside of the platform holders store.
-Can be traded or sold.
-No company is crazy enough to lock physical content. There are many downloadable games that the same can't be said for. Remember PT.
-If you locked out of the platform holders network you can still play physical games. Locked out with all digital say goodbye to all your content.
