You don't have to, just play everyone else's levels. But you might find you have a talent for creating music, animation or character design. You can upload assets for others to use.
I don't think it'll sell close to GOW or HZD but still should sell well.
GOW missing 100,000 or so sales in Japan while would be great, won't matter too much in the grand scheme of things.
DG selling well is more of a positive for Sony and BEND - being a new ip and all.
Also 2nd week atop the Japanese charts, more good news for Days Gone - it has outsold lifetime sales of GOW, TLG and Detroit. Bloody good news for those of us that want a sequel.
jagermaster619 - You spud - absolute spud, I think it's you that doesn't know shit. Do you even own a PS4?
*correction*
Days gone tops the UK physical charts and then tops the European digital charts.
COD is a meme as this stage, a new ip selling well and positively received is another thing entirely - negativity spreads quicker positivity.
When you do decide to buy it I hope you'll enjoy it. It's a cracking game.
What about the positive consumer reviews and sales? Surely that would be more indicative of a solid game.
Days Gone tops the UK physical charts and then for the stolen or Europe tops the digital charts. Fair to say the game has sold well for BEND and Sony. Congrats to all involved.
It's always in the Aus charts too, hard to fathom.
gamingbolt - ya reckon? I wonder if any other dev feels the same?
For all the numpties that can't understand CP_company - EA loves money above reputation and Anthem will use a lot of it to make it better.
OT: EA has had more failure than hits the last few years, this is a good thing. It is hopefully having stumbling effect on them - I doubt it though.
Absolutely this is why Sony is winning now. So much heart and thoughtfulness was put into GOW. There's not a single aspect of this game that isn't the new industry watermark. SSM knows (and astute consumers know) there needs to be substance behind great graphics and gameplay.
How many movies have you watched in the last 15 or so years that rely so heavily on CGI, that the story and character development take a back seat. The movie ends up a pile of shit and Joe pub...
mcstorm - you are correct, look at FORZA street - now that's a company on the move.
goldwyncq - But just as many critics don't, keep going through life listening to the minority - they'll work.
Do you want to know what mediocrity looks like? Take one of the premier devs with an illustrious history and have them release a Cel-shaded, sea faring game. What about a game that's 3rd in an admittedly (by all - media AND consumers) mediocre series. Hype it up with fake tech demos, delay it time and time again, downgrade it time and time again, then g...
Yep - but what reviewers with clear agendas? Aren't they supposed to be professional? Some of them can't even be called gamers.
When BS is being spread by reviewers, that unfortunately have a decent amount of sway with the public. Gamers need to come to gather and correct that BS.
The reasons given the low scores DG received are BS. Going forward let's see if these reasons raise their head in the future or if a pass is given.
PiNk - ssshhhh - breaking some hearts with a truth bomb right there.
Of course - but I don't game on it nor watch movies, YouTube being an exception.
Really? - A minute between cut scenes and sequences. I don't think so, big chunk of loading getting the game form home screen to gameplay. But it's acceptable after that.
shaggy2303 - Thank you for the clarification.
The statement was a continuation of DG being top of the Japanese charts 2 weeks in a row.
I thought it was fairly obvious it meant in Japan, but thanks again for the clarification.
