gangsta_red - You're an ms supporter, you don't get the quality of games Sony provides. With the quality of visuals Sony studios can create. PS3 pumped out some amazing games with amazing visuals for its time, PS4 is now doing the same. PS5 should make PS4 games look average, while still good - they clearly shouldn't be able to run and look anything like the PS5 version.

A $399 PS5 won't be that appealing to the people that actually line up for a system. Mum & Dad buying for little Johnny want to pay $399.
PS3 used The Cell chip and propriety hardware, 360 was off the shelf parts in a box with bad ventilation. Not saying they didn't have struggles, just don't dwell on the negative - glass half full sort of bloke.
We shat on the xbox one and continue to - and for good reason. ms do the absolute minimum when it comes to delivering games. Remember they've been making consoles for a long time. Remember ms studios have been around longer than that.

Tekolie - It wasn't a misstep for the consumer, Fat 60gig PS3 was a beast. The price was completely justified. The BluRay drive also helped Sony and their partners to win the format war.
The Wii sold more, yep - my step mum got one ffs! Much like RROD inflated 360 numbers - the Wii's numbers were inflated by nursing homes.

Sales is all about convincing someone they need something, ms is just seeing how much of their BS gets gobbled up. Hopefully consumers support the S as opposed to the SADE.

Patience mate - I know you're not sleeping well because you don't have 'actual numbers'. Put it this way - it should sell favourably compared to a certain other console makers exclusives, but won't outsell Sony's top offerings.

Number 1 in UK physical charts 2 weeks straight, number 1 Europe digital charts, number 1 Aus 2 weeks in a row - the sales in Japan are what Sony would consider a bonus. Judging by how lukewarm other AAA exclusives have sold.
