The engine used to make LBP1,2 and Kart can't achieve the type of lighting shown in this game. The graphical fidelity of this game alone shows that it's running on an engine far superior to the LBP engine.
Unless MM did a massive overhaul over night and sent it to Japan which is unlikely.
That article a few days back which talked about next-gen consoles producing Avatar graphics was actually talking about next-gen lighting tech that will reach Avatar quality in real-time (That doesn't seem impossible at all because we're nearly there).
Unfortunately judging by the comments left on that article NO ONE actually READ the article, which is why we now have a follow up article saying next-gen consoles can't reach Avatar graphics for ABSOLUTELY NO REASON!...
You probably would have still had yours if you knew how to fix it. Mines died due to YLOD some time during 2010 but I got it fixed the proper way and it's been working flawlessly ever since.
I even had the fan changed which made my PS3 cooler and quieter.
The MGS:GZ demo looked great and in many ways it did look next-gen and it definitely looked like CGI, but the blades of grass and some bad textures kind of ruined.
As soon as it switched to gameplay the ground textures and the buildings in distance of the base kind of looked average and didn't look stunning.
But anyone who says it looks slightly better or is on par with Uncharted is an idiot.

No actually they didn't. In this trailer everything you saw was taken from ACTUAL levels (if you want to call them that) in the game.
Why do you people always hang on to things that happened in the past? learn to move on. It's clearly evident that Crytek have learned from their mistakes and as I said before unlike C2 the PC version of C3 will look miles ahead of the console version.
Gameplay looks great as well.
The sound is just amazing, it actually sounds like your in a massive landscape and sense of distance is superb and the graphics are just wow!

I can guarantee you that about 90% of the people on this site haven't played FF13 or FF13-2. Just because a couple of people who barely played the game complained the rest followed like sheep and since then they've all hated the both games.
You're absolutely right! ACiT had to be the first R&C that I only ever completed once simply because the game got boring and just wasn't as fun as TOD.
I don't touch spin-off's or PSN games altogether so I won't be getting this, Quest for Booty was the only exception.

The first leaked photos of the current PS3 looked ugly due to the shitty quality images but once it came out it didn't look spectacular but it did look decent and much better than the leaked images.
Don't judge it off of these distorted images because they do look kind of squashed and the quality is grainy as hell.
