What is Sony waiting for? Make them 1st party already. I'm almost certain they would be more than happy to join the team. Same with Ready at Dawn and Insomniac(even though it's kind of too late for them, as they're making Sunset Overdrive on XB1).
Neither am I. I am simply stating that if they say there is no graphical downgrade, which includes all types of graphics implemented in the standard shipped version, and that turns out to not be the case then they lied to console exclusive gamers. There's no spin, no way to go around it. If they aren't the same when they ship, then they are lieing to you.
Yea China embracing consoles is great news for MS. However, it should be taken into account that well over half of their native population is embarrassingly destitute, which would mean they would not have the money to purchase a console.
Really innovative and "next-gen". Now all they need is a killer app and I'm pretty much sold. HL3!!
If this happens, consider me a PS4 exclusives only gamer. I will not except gimped version of games on consoles because one company chooses to have either parity or nothing at all. That's utter BS and a philosophy that hinders forward progress. Making my PC build before the gens starts look SO good right now. This article is going to blow just like the EDGE one did(the two are scary similar). Kind of wondering what Sony is thinking right now.....
SMH
Deep Down and Resogun are Sony exclusives, though.
o_O
damn
lololololol
Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas will never lose it's crown. Contender for best game of a generation, imo.
This is spreading like wildfire. Really, really, really bad PR for MS.
Looks like PS4 will be getting gimped this generation due to MS money-hatting developers to protect the console inferior hardware. Really sucks..
Yes!!!!!!!!!!
Using it for those late night sessions with Jergens's lotion, huh?
Well an open world, slow paced game like this doesn't really need 60fps, as there is no quick movement. It just needs a native 1080p/30fps. The only open world games I can think that would garner a need for 60fps would be the Witcher 3: Wild Hunt and Destiny, as they can be fast paced in combat situations. In the Witcher 3's case, console will only be able to dream about 1080p/60fps on that game, more likely it will be 720p/30fps.
Lmao, DF is not the be all, end all of analysis on technical aspects of games. They have several faults in their analysis formats that quite often mar the results of their findings.
By the way, since when does graphics downscale only mean "resolution and frames". Console players like to focus on that only, but there is FAR more to them that just those. If they say that there isn't a graphical downscale, that means that the shipped version of next-gen consoles an...
If the game is at 30fps(which is perfectly fine for this game, open world games don't need silky smooth framerates, they need a steady one) then this game should be 1080p on PS4. There is currently no exclusive game on the PS4 that isn't 1080p and Ubisoft has a good relationship with Sony over the last few years. If this game isn't 1080p/30fps on PS4, then I'm calling shenanigans all day long.
This is the million dollar question right here. How much resource overhead does the PS4 have and how does that compare to the Xbox One. Just judging by how simplistic the UI is, I have hopes that's it's not to high but honestly, anything under 6 gigs is extremely disappointing.
I'll be the judge of that as I'm getting the game on both PC and PS4. The only difference I expect is frame-rate; If there's any sort of texture difference, draw distance, lighting, ray-tracing, poor PP and inferior AA utilization, then that means they're lieing. Going to make sure I do an extensive breakdown comparison of the two versions.
Looks good..
Eager to see more from this game, especially on the combat side.
The giant marketing campaigns by both power players in the Next-Gen console gaming market are soon upon us. I'll just leave this here for you guys:

Beware the power of marketing, people. Beware...
