yeah, it's great when developers do that...
natal doesn't have a processor?
Does that mean it'll be cheaper?
Does that mean firmware updates can be provided over live?
does that mean developers won't be bottle-necked by the on-board processor?
does that mean developers will have better access to the functionality of natal?
does that mean there's less parts in natal that might suffer hardware failure?
honestly, it's not always a bad thing to scale back hardware, and I'm sure the games wi...
But when I see screenshots of gow 3, especially where the environment is primarily grey, flat stone.
aka this:

I'm not entirely impressed, when I know the ps3 can produce a lot more. Especially since gow 3 isn't the most technically demanding game when it comes to things like, scope of playing field (I'm talking about a linear path as opposed to open world), ai (mob ...
gow doesn't look much more visually impressive then gears of war =/. So I'm not sure why that's number 1 on the ps3.
I'd say crysis 2 and rage will better on both consoles then any other game, just like bfbc2 has set the new bar.
It's a funny way to stealth troll, not sure how you've accumulated so many bubbles.
edit, on second thought I'd actually put all those 360 games ahead of gow 3
OMG WHY ARE WE SCREAMING. I THINK WE SHOULD JUST CALM DOWN AND PUT THE GUN DOWN AND THE REDBULL DOWN.
and sadly, it sits in a bag on my shelf, coming out on the rare occasions I have friends over to play it.
The wii imho equates to board games of the last decade. You can't play them by yourself, and they work best at parties.
I'll play the wait and see game.
Personally I don't think it'll revolutionize hardcore gaming, but I do think it'll revolutionize the indie gaming and app scene. There's a lot of creative people out there, and until they get their chance to work with the product we won't know what they can create.
Natal has some very interesting abilities outside of gaming as much as inside gaming. I'd like to see a developer utilize it for a basic mo-cap feature, this would be reall...
I'd throw on metro 2033, mafia 2(open world), batman AA2, and dust 514.
fable 3 will stand tall because of it's art style. It's always been a strong point of fable, the worlds being well imagined and very storybook-esque.
I think all this console graphics talk is nonsense. There's barely a difference between any game released on the 360 and ps3, people should really stop caring. It's not like in the ps2 vs Xbox days when there was a very clear gap. The consoles are p...
shenmue maybe? I'd say that shenmue is the forefather of this style of game/gameplay, albeit with a bit more action. The fight sequences were still more or less QTA's done as combo's.
indigo prophecy?
as great as the concept for the game is I still finding the character animations and voice acting subpar.
The graphics on a whole are good, but it seems to take a large hit in quality during the larger area free roam and walking sections.
I still can't wait to play the game, and I hope there will be some initial replay value in other modes then the branching story.
there used to be a point in time when all character animations were scripted, then we started to introduce new techniques based off of physics, like ragdoll.
Are developers who use things such as natural motion, and softbody physics cheap and lazy too?
There used to be a time we animated water, smoke effects, particle effects, bullets, etc, now physics does it, and it does a much more realistic job. Is that being lazy and cheap?
What about procedural tex...
best mo cap comes from image metrics.

although I do believe that the facial animation for Mass effect is procedural? correct me if I'm wrong.
what's that, is it like GOW3 or something?
then I realized you were serious, and lolled harder.
bungie had also completed over a third of their engine code for the original xbox which they then copied for halo 3 on the 360.
The engine is revamped and built up entirely around the 360.
that said, halo 3 is still a mighty fine looking game.
*grumble grumble* school *grumble grumble*
gj bungie, keep the train rollin.
all current footage is xbox code running on either pc or the 360.
a game comes out with outlandishly crazy moves and he bashes it, yet he praises games like painkiller for the exact same feature.
Bayonetta is a game at it's heart, it doesn't try to be a movie, it knows it's a game. I thought he'd appreciate that much at least.
It slows the gameplay down, it messes up your movement, increases camping, and usually it's mapped to a really awkward control (like the crouch button). If you need to go prone to disguise yourself in bfbc2 then you really need to l2p (tip: try the bushes).
I've always been a sniper in games, and I've never needed to go prone when playing any game, bf2 included, and I still score fine. I usually do better because I'm not stuck/confined in movement.
