Do you think reviewers completed FF11 or wow (or any mmo), including all end game content, prior to writing the review? Or do you think forza and gt reviewers tested every car for accuracy and attempted and completely every single race at every single difficulty with every available car? hell, do you think reviewers got platinum trophies for uncharted before their reviews went live?
What they should do is bring in 2 - 3 people from the larger gaming outlets, such as: ign, gamespo...
I tend to find games that with-hold reviews until a games release to be suspicious, warhawk had it's reviews out prior to the games release, as did shadow run, both games were based solely on the multiplayer and community, and their reviews, in general, were quite in line with the end products quality.
If you want to ensure your product gets reviewed in correlation to it's marketed audience, then set up a large-scale review/playthrough for media outlets to come and play the game....

Damn, bungie's new atmospheric effects and lighting are really stunning in some of those images. Can't wait to see the game in action with some post processing effects like hdr, motion blurr, throw in some explosions going off, gunfire, enemies running all over the place, vehicles and ships flying in and some of that classic halo music... with 3 friends in co-op... then watching the saved film afterward...

almost like damage control for another big game which has been making the press a lot recently.
Forge was packages with marathon in 1995, prior to which no other games featured mod tools.
it was also the first game to feature ambient ai, dual wielding weapons, and the first fps to feature multiple tiered levels, misson objective and puzzles, and area effects (like acid pools and oxygen).
People act as if halo is the only thing they made, when marathon is one of the fore-fathers of fps games.
we don't need any more sim racers.

People like what they like, I've heard a lot more 'meh' about halo reach, in the halo articles, then 'meh' about god of war. Heck, if you think the game is 'meh' why even bother going into the articles.
that example vid is only showing one street at a time, draw distance for the loss.
Also, thows mirrors/windows are really throwing me off, and a lot of gamers are collectors, knowing that there's 'always' something behind a door would just piss them off, like having to constantly whip things in castlevania pissed a lot of people off.

Snake would win in a box factory, anywhere else, I give the vote to fisher. Fisher is just more hardened and seasoned when it comes to killing. He does it because he has to, no philosophy, no sulking, nothing... Plus sam wouldn't be busy talking on the phone for 40 minutes...
