Over one hundred gigabytes?—makes me giddy. Looking forward to the first single-player title on PlayStation weighing-in over a buck. Probably will have to be a PS5 affair—in another two, to two and a half years.
When will these 'analysts' start figuring the increase in overall gamers over the past ten years into these charts?
Dang, no XBOX exclusives at all? Thought there would be at least one.
Sign me up.
Uncharted 4 was around sixty-five, though. And that wasn't even sandbox.
Forty-five gigabytes is smaller than I expected—especially for it being the latest open-world sandbox game.
PlayStation 4 Pro will be the same size.
Hey, this is super cool and all. But. We. Want. New. XBOX. One. X. Games. You know, that push the OX to show what it can do.
It's on XBOX One.
Sadly, one of the main guys (Mac Walters) from the first three actually led the development/was the director of Andromeda. And sadly it was that same guy who was also the lead writer on the first three Mass Effects—though it doesn't appear he wrote the dialogue to this new one.
And regarding the all white team thing. The credits I watched all the way through had plenty of Indian, Asian and multi-cultural contributors. But, I do agree, they must have been a new, inexper...
So, I finally played this game when Amazon waived it under my nose for a paltry ten bucks—brand new. I only had three major complaints. (To follow.) But, despite its shortcomings I beat the game the third day from when it arrived on my doorstep.
Issue One:) The Dialogue
So many times I couldn't help but think I was playing a badly translated game like the first Resident Evil. Here are some examples: (And remember, these lines were delivered in a serious, non-jo...
Didn't realize Nintendo fans were so sensitive and aggressive. Nothing I stated was an opinion or a disputed well-known fact. PlayStation has Gran Turismo, XBOX has Forza, and then Nintendo has Mario Kart. It's nothing to be ashamed of, sheesh.
One of the main elements enjoyed about Mario is its fantasy, cartoon aura. It's why I like Nintendo. It's what the company excels at. If I wanted 'realism' I'd fire up Uncharted on the PlayStation, or Quantum Break on XBOX.
😕
Well, when the Ataribox creator goes through the utter failure of catastrophic proportions at least he might have a career as a pretty funny comedian.
What is Atari thinking?!
@MasterCornholio—
That is correct. With more gamers comes more consoles sold, not equal as before—or, even less in Microsoft's case.
It's a myriad of ailments responsible for Microsoft's lagging in sales. From the ultimate fiasco/hindrance that took place at E3 due to some terrible XBOX One OS software plans to ruining relationships with tent-pole developers for the XBOX brand, and even crossing passionate gamers—such as myself—which has led to persiste...
@ABizzel1—
Dang—you have a great natural business sense. Your plan about Microsoft releasing a next generation console in two thousand and eighteen is air-tight. How an executive at the company wasn't able to get something similar to this implemented is astounding.
Keep up the forward thinking. (And regarding forward thinking, I hope you are in the Sony camp. Microsoft is going to ruin gaming if not stopped.)
Thanks, Master. That about sums it up.
Simplified example below (not actual accurate counts—obviously):
In 2008, there are 20 total gamers in the world. 6 of these gamers own an XBOX 360.
In 2017, there are 30 total gamers in the world. 5 of these gamers own an XBOX One.
So, in 2008 30% of gamers owned an XBOX.
And, in 2017 17% of gamers owned an XBOX.
The huge discrepancy these statistics tend to leave out is the increase in sheer number of gamers since the XBOX 360 was current-gen. China has lifted a ban on video games since then, four percent more women game than back then—just to name a couple.
Just because the numbers seem close on face value doesn't mean your getting the entire story. The ratio is where you'll find the hard, bottom-line data.
@OmnislashVer36
Dang, man—yeah, that is a lot of what my problem with Microsoft is. Good on you. Keep up the good fight.
Honestly, I got the PS4 Pro glacier Destiny 2 deal on launch day. While not a huge Destiny fan, I do quite enjoy the second one—especially at that smooth sixty frames per second.
Why, then, have I not played it in four weeks?
So. Many. Games.
