This, "what should've been a traditional experience with a Zelda game," has a lot of Truth in it for me, as well. Nintendo and Eiji were so caught up in evolving Zelda to the open-sandbox design that a few core components that make up "traditional" The Legend of Zelda experiences were omitted. Still, I stand by my original, day one opinion of Breath of the Wild absolutely being a great game—but, it could had been perfect. (As my suspicions with the upco...

Didn't really agree (or disagree) with every paragraph except your final one. That, though, you hit a home-run. Especially the very last sentence. Up-voted from me.
My main longing was for genetically diverse dungeons. Too many repeats-but-more-difficult, plain design/texture 'dungeons' in The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild. And, to a lesser degree, the world seemed a bit barren when it came to getting deeply lost and bewildered free-roaming. Had hoped for more areas like The Lost Woods.
Vita but not Switch? Has to be a licensing issue.
That's the element of this situation I've not been able to justify. Been posting to N4G for a couple of years and I've debated much more seemingly sensitive subjects regarding XBOX One. Maybe you are correct and there is an exposed main nerve when it comes to XBOX One exclusives being claimed by stated system supporters. Just kind of odd that PS4 and Switch gamers can't articulate a desire for a good game, though. ☕🙂
Simply astounding this is possible with a video game (see: simulator). Can any other racing games claim this slick accolade?
You see who suggests/drags these kinds of stories onto N4G don't you? Give you a hint StandingSatan1666... He/she/hen does good every once in awhile, but throws up way too much click-bait. Best just to not click the link.

Agreed. Been pulling the same 'story' out of nowhere since the N64 (which has quite a few mature games: GoldenEye, Turok [1, 2 & 3], Shadowman...). GameCube had plenty, as well.
(EDIT/IN ADDITION: Must be troublesome for the devlopment team deciding to aim for specs a PS5 might have or stay safe with a PS4 Pro / XBOX One X figures—considering the release is going to hit smack dab🏌️in the middle of the almost guaranteed PS5 launch window.)
Something is whispering in my ear that this will merely be one of many perfect scores for Mario Odyssey.
Of course, Star Citizen and Beyond Good & Evil 2 pieces all in the same day. This game is going to sell gangbusters.
You are absolutely correct—with respect to the idea of 'how long is too long?'
For example: The Duke Nukem title, aptly dubbed Duke Nukem: Forever took fifteen years. And everyone knows how that ended.
Star Citizen has been in development for nearly seven years. Half of that time backed by fundraise-paying supports.
There's are reasons why companies set finish-line (deadline) goals. Audiences can lose interest, for one. Anot...
The voice acting—totally forgot how great it was. "Up the gore," though? I seem to recall slurping gallons of blood through five feet of empty air, or bloody corpses piled like hills. I think the game's carnage would naturally be enhanced just from being a current gen title. Not sure if upping that aspect would serve to make a authentic Blood Omen experience.
A remaster would be great but a true-to-form reboot first, please.
Important: This game has become my most anticipated title—ever. (Yes, bigger than Half-Life 3 or Beyond Good & Evil 2—for me. I love nearly unrestricted simulated space travel.) If it is planned to perpetually remain a working beta, and never see a release date, the developer should declare so.
At this point it's becoming aggravating—because I feel like a jack-ass ridden by Chris Roberts holding a pole with a string and a baby carrot 🥕 tied to the end, that ...
Splatoon just doesn't do it for me. I had a Switch with The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild for a week when it first released, but wanted more games and got the Wii U. It has Mario Kart 8, BotW, Mario World 3D, Zenoblade Chronicles X, and lots more and was a fraction of the price. The only thing that really gave the Switch an advantage was its portability (which I didn't utilize) and the increase in graphics (a field of gaming that is secondary for me).
Switch i...

Willing to guarantee you hit the nail on the head. Every sexual harassment scenario I've witnessed usually gets wrapped up in something else. This helps the company have at least one other issue to shamelessly shift attention. Anything to discredit such a negative media event as sexual harassment—especially with these big corporations.
Kind of funny how even indirectly related game elements from tent-pole games Skyrim get tied to other games. Unless I can assertively turbo click the jump button to get up a mountain I don't want it compared to any Elder Scrolls title.

You might be onto something with the compressed events within the map. However, as closely as Nintendo has been working with Bethesda and ZeniMax I would all-but-guarantee the formula of sequel=bigger map, as seen in the Elder Scroll series, will be enforced. But, more to do in a smaller space that's within a bigger map? I'm sure the heck in. 🖐️
