Sony is so lost I don't see them in the gaming business much longer to be honest and I'm a big Sony fan too. The Vita was the dumbest idea ever. They are killing their best exclusives by wanting all their shooters to be like Call of Dooky. WAKE UP SONY
lol they never said that, they said they had no plans to bring back a classic Socom game in HD.
They renamed it because the Playstation Network brand is infamous for getting hacked and what not, it's a way to start over with a clean slate.

This is why PS Vita is going to fail, it doesn't really offer anything you'd really need over a PSP, Sony just pushed it out for the sake of a new handheld. Every gen each console has offered big improvements, I just don't see anything out there yet. Just because the gens before this one only lasted 5-6 yrs does not mean this one needs to. I know so many people that just got PS3's and Xbox's like not even a year ago.

4 million more by Microsoft is not a lot but it's eye opening when last gen Sony sold 150 million consoles and Microsoft sold 25 million.
I'm a PS3 owner and I don't care one bit, in fact I never had any intentions to play the demo. I only play demo's of games I'm going to play online for an extensive period of time. Resident Evil 6 will be a game I play through two maybe three times at most and probably never online. I don't want to ruin my hype for it with a 5 minute demo.
Sony is killing themselves this gen, they have no clue how to market and who to market too. They practically destroyed their best exclusives like Killzone, Socom, Resistance and others with no marketing or hype.
PS4 and next Xbox won't be until 2014 at the earliest anyone who thinks otherwise is delusional. Now can we stop talking about it and concentrate on the great games that are still to come this gen?
I remember people used to freakout on MW1 and MW2 plays and it was worthy of freaking out over because it was all new and exciting, but now it's like, meh, stop freaking out, the game has ran it's course, we've seen it all already.

Used games is what made and still makes gaming so big. It's not like people are scheming to save money by only getting used games, it's people that cannot afford new games all the time, or it's hand-me-downs to people that don't or never would have played the game in the first place. If you lock those people out, gaming will not only not grow anymore, it will decline.
I'm sure MS knows this, they'd never do something so stupid.
Its more than just perks, it's also the dumb killstreaks like UAV sweeps and stuff. And things like lag and host advantage. And only one game dedicated to non respawn.
Frostbite is the most overrated engine ever, in fact i think it sucks.
Microsoft became lazy after the massive Call of Duty success, same with Sony. Sony seems to only care about Naughty Dog projects, they do little to promote their other exclusives. Microsoft only cares about Gears and Halo.
I don't think it has to do with poor marketing, I think it has to do with Sony losing a lot of fans to Microsoft, mainly American fans that would be buying all of Sony's exclusives just like they did last gen. American gamers are the ones that buy games in the masses and on impulse. PS3 is a more European dominated console while Xbox rules in America. Sony's shooters that did not sell well this year like Socom 4, Killzone 3 and Resistance 3 would sell much more on Xbox. Well I gue...
