Graphics is like a one night stand. Gameplay is like a marriage.
It takes too long to make games now and games have way too much content, so the development costs are really high. I remember games even last gen were made within 6 months, and this is because most games had no online and the hardware was much easier to build on.
Obviously games in the gens before took just a few months to make. Games last gen could sell 250,000 and be very profitable. Most Games this gen need to reach at least 500,000 before they start turning profits, even ...
so using the same reload animations, gun stats and designs, game modes, ranking system and map layouts each year is not a copy and paste?

If you were truly done with CoD you wouldn't be reading this article. I don't enjoy CoD nearly as much as I used to but I always keep my eye on it because I hold hope just maybe they can create a fun, well functioning game again. But my hopes are not kept up.
Call of Duty won't just die on it's own, people need a replacement. It's like if you're in an abusive marriage you will stay in it because it's better than being alone. People would rather keep playing a rehashed game because it's better than nothing.
That replacement has yet to come, but it will eventually because the people NOW making CoD games are not world class developers, they do not have the talent the old IW had to truly innovate the series.
People should start doing kickstarters for poor children.
