Microsoft pwned Sony. Microsoft plays to their crowd, everything they showed is interesting to their viewers. They even brought out Joe Montana and had Usher perform.
Sony on the other hand is so out of wack and so behind. They show God of War and Last of us, games that are popular but only within their core audience, but don't show their best selling games like Fifa, Call of Duty, Madden, Tomb Raider etc..

That was one of the worst conferences in gaming history, especially considering the state Sony is in.
Last of us will be good, but nothing groundbreaking, similar to uncharted with gun fights every 3 minutes and cut scenes every 5. God of war is repetitively boring, never liked that game.
Beyond, now that looks interesting. This was the only highlight of the show considering we all knew about GOW and Last of us

People are tired of the same games. Every shooter is XP based, same old gameplay. Lots of other Games have been getting rehashed and stretched out this entire generation, and big franchises have been taking too long off, they can't find that balance.
Watch Dogs, Last of us, GTA 5, Splinter Cell, Tom Raider and Res Evil 6 are going to be a nice breath of fresh air in the last 18 months or so of this generation. Seems like forever since I've last played a Res Evil, Tomb...

Tomb raider and resident evil 6 look terrible. Black ops 2 surprisingly looked really good. Missed the first part of the show but I'll catch it on g4 tv in an hour

Console gaming in general is in trouble, Sony and Nintendo are in wacky shape as well. Games are too much like movies now, and people are going to their phones to play games to use the brain.
Console gamers are in a zombie trance right now and MS is just capitalizing on it, can't hate em, but it is sad.
