G4 never evolved, and never expanded. It stayed with the same exact shows and their was only a couple each day. It needed to expand into a full-time gaming channel and never did.
The textures and artwork aren't that amazing, kind of cartoony, but the lighting and color Naughty Dog uses is always aesthetically pleasing.

I've been saying forever next gen will fail if it comes in 2013. Technology and idea has not advanced enough to warrant a new console for the casual gamer. At the same time devs are scaring away casual players with their exclusive content, online passes and all that stuff.

No one plays Killzone, u can barely find active lobbies, maybe 500 people login a week not sure what Sony sees with Killzone.
I would but 90 percent of casuals/kids would not. 400.00 is too much, because u have to consider the 20 dollars tax and 60 dollar game purchases. you're gonna approach 500 dollars and parents just wont spend that on their kids unless its a birthday or holiday present.

Developers are becoming like musicians. Just trying to be like the most popular out there, not trying to be original.
Maybe they should experiment first, like make one of their exclusive games only available to play if new and see how sales and publicity goes. To go all out from the beginning is a move that could potentially ruin everything.
The PS4 would be $299.99 and slightly more powerful than PS3 but with a PC-like hardware structure if it was up to me. I'd also have the most robust online service and charge for online but at half the price MS does.

This will kill console gaming. When you start to get greedy by locking out avenues to consumers the consumers become confused and lost and move on.
