I worry for Sony. I know the ps3 sold great, but so did the PSP but look at Vita.
I don't think Nintendo is going anywhere because they have Mario to lift them.
Microsoft has too much money and they're way too smart and in tune with current generation of gamers, especially in the USA. So they won't fail.
Xbox 360 is definitely better. Even Sony knows the PS3 is bad, they cleaned shop pretty fast and are dying to get to the new gen. PS3 will be dead as a rusty barn door nail once PS4 launches.
I expect PS4 to be on Par or better than Xbox next-gen.

Nintendo are too old-school, they are not up to date with new school gamers. They need to hire some young guys. Get rid of Reggie should be first priority.

CoD (post world war 2 cod has been average just different)
Uncharted (looks nice but feels like a movie not a game)
Killzone (Never kept me interested)
Super smash bros (stupid game)
The Dreamcast should have shown all that screens on controllers are a fail. If they failed during a time with no HDTV's, what makes these corps think they will thrive in a time when we have huge HDTV's in front of our faces? No one wants to use a wannabe tablet while playing on the big screen. Waste of money.
Who the hell would watch someone play Call of Duty? The game has no tactics, just idiots running and gunning, it's boring as hell to watch because it constant repetitiveness.
I feel so bad for Sony. They've finally gained a bit of buzz and Microsoft is going to crash their party by showing off Destiny footage on the 720
I have a gut feeling Destiny is a Microsoft exclusive title and this is Microsofts counter to Sony's party on the 20th.
Nintendo should have been last to release a console this gen. And they should have stayed away from tablet controllers. Why would anyone want to screw around with a 8 inch screen with a 40 inch in front of you? In my opinion, touch screen controllers are a horrible idea and waste of money for console games.

They're not afraid of change when a game keeps selling millions the way it is. That's called being smart.
I will buy a Wii U when I see a open world Mario and/or Zelda game and I'm sure millions others will as well. Nintendo is only relevant because of their games, not their hardware. Now get to it!
1. Too much focus on last gen titles with no new IPs
2. Slow operating system and outdated features and the way it works. They better not carry over the new ps store or YouTube app for example.
3. Price too high. Basic system can't launch above 299.99
4. Launches in 2013. I don't think Sony is ready for a 2013 launch, don't be like the Wiiu. Wait until 2014.
5. They don't counter Microsoft or keep up with them...

The Wii u is not even close to dead. The 3Ds went through the same problem until it started releasing games. Nintendo is so dumb to repeat the same mistake twice, but they wanted holiday sales. Once Nintendo's real games release the console will start to sell.
As far as third party support, I don't know how long it will last. It all depends on how many consoles sell.
