This game better blow me away in order to get me interested. I'm tired of all the Battlefield stuff the last two years, it's been overkill.
Better be 60 frames a second with 64 player teams on console to even begin to get me interested.

Accomplishments are cool in games, they're just not implemented in a fun and attractive way.
I'd make it so that you can cash in accomplishments to buy games. Only from new games can these credits be earned, though.
As a dev I'd make it so that if you complete certain accomplishments in games you open special levels, earn special weapons or gear or whatever etc..
On the Price is right this morning, they were giving away Wii packages. Not Wii U, Wii. This is the problem Nintendo.

Sony keeps releasing new IP's because the IP's they already have never produced a household character like in Mario, Zelda, Halo or Gears.
sony fanboys are the only ones wrapped up in new IP's because they're dissatisfied with their current IP's. Microsoft or Nintendo fans never brag or care about new IP's because they're satisfied with what they currently have.
I blame this generation of gamers, which is mostly ages 18-24 for putting too much influence and hype into graphics. The current generation now which is the one behind that generation prefers simplistic and challenging games like you see on phones and tablets.

PS4 - 52 million consoles sold
Wii u - 34 million consoles sold
These will be the numbers after 5 years starting in late 2013. Console sales as total will drop off a lot compared to previous generations. Xbox will rule USA, Ps4 will rule Europe and Japan. Wii u will pick up eventually but when all said and done will be looked at as underwhelming.

This is what scares me about next-gen, consoles being too high priced and no one buying. The PS3 never used to beat out Xbox360 in sales until it went down to under 300 dollars in the 360 price range. Now Sony fans love to brag about PS3 beating Xbox360 week in and out when it was the other way around for years.
To me it seems 250 dollars is the breaking point for consoles, once you reach 300 dollars and people see it as too much money.

1. Price. Sony is trying to recapture casual audience, which is very hard to do with a high price tag.
2. Exclusives. Sony's fresh exclusives especially early on saved them this gen. I just wonder if they'll have enough fresh new ips to entice gamers next gen, and I'm also concerned about some expiring with interest like Killzone, infamous and God of war.
3. Online service. Must be robust, casual friendly and secure. Three things PSN was not.
