Apreciate your point of view but... Xbox One games don't sale. Focus for Microsoft is now Xbox Game Pass, Xbox Live and Xbox Game Pass Ultimate. Outside US, third party games sold ratio of PS4 and Switch games is 7 to 1 against Xbox One. Return is now service and suscription based, not game units sold with royalties and exclusive gains like with Xbox 360. Your maths... maybe don't work for Xbox today. Three game sales give the same benefit as a one year suscription, maybe.
Er... you also have to uncompress data and process it before game and assets are playable. Only really fast buses and processors can do that and they are too expensive for a console. This is nice for marketing, but, what do engineers think about it? Magic really exist? I hope so.

I have to add price of Xbox LIVE Gold to play online and games are 30% more expensive on Xbox One than Windows so... I don't see the saving vs a 1000$ PC. It is cheaper than a more expensive PC, but... of course, that hardware is not comparable with an Xbox One X, it is better for playing, media streaming, office, etc. Xbox One X seems to be ~100$ overpriced now, in July 2017. Because that's what I can buy today (June 20th 2017, 5 months before Xbox One X releases and with a summer to play games before the new console arrives) for 510€: An RX 480 8GB is 199€ here and an i3@3700 MHz 99€, with the rest of the system (Fast 2x4GB DDR4 59€, mATX MB 49€, 1TB HD 45€ and PSU + box 29,95€ + Windows 10 OEM29,95€). An RX 580 8GB is 259€ now, so it is not up to the final ~500€ objetive here.

As an Xbox fan since 2000 presentation and 2001 launch, what I want is a real next gen machine. Something with AMD Radeon Vega's 12 TFLOPS and Ryzen to feed it. Maybe in 2018, but not a mid season refresh (Second refresh for this gen if I count Xbox One S barely better GPU).
