PR focused on US and... Japan, maybe? Well... maybe the problem is Xbox Series S, because the effort to sell it has been huge in money and work that could have been better invested in making Xbox Series X more attractive. For example, selling it at a lower price, making more units at launch, making it easier for developers just by having ONE platform (with or without blu-ray disk drive), working on full backwards improved compatibility... Well, all those things that time and money invested on...
How many Xbox Series ads have you watched on TV, heard on radio, seen in mainstream media, absorbed from paid Social Media, physical shops full of banners or in the metro/bus/trains/buildings... and how many from PlayStation 5? Well... in my case, I have only seen Sony marketing working and ZERO from Xbox outside of Xbox websites or some punctual places online.
If most of the people, potential buyers, don't know about your mainstream product... and you only depend of friends and ...
No surprise. It is more expensive than PS5 (I mean, Xbox Series X... because Xbox Series S compares to Xbox One X or PS5 Pro, not PS5), games are more expensive than on other platforms, It is nearly to impossible to buy physical titles for Xbox in Europe, support is near to non existent if the controller fails or the system overheats or anything happens out of warranty... and last but most important... of course, you don't need an Xbox Series console to play Xbox games.
Pre-Black Friday and Cybermonday sales. Well... this will be interesting this year, with more PS5 and Switch on sale than never before.
Xbox Series S was an error and a waste of resources.
Maybe next year as on going title...
349$ Steam Deck can hurt PlayStation Portal sales... but you never have enough screens at home. Better to have both.
They could fix it... but with a new game every year, it is already too late for investing resources on it. They need to focus on next CoD.
Some of us will be dead before it arrives... well, if it is like Andromeda, I don't care.
72+ because of delay agreement and expenses.
Scandal
How does it play Game Pass, PlayStation Online or NVIDIA cloud games? 100% backwards compatible... :)
Spanish people are not as in movies... what a deception!
Put some more Microsoft executives around and you will have another Lionhead, Bungie, Wingnut, FASA, etc. experience. It has happened where ex-Xbox executives have gone (Bungie is a clear example of mismanagement when some entered the company 4-5 years ago).
Mismanagement, fired employees, uncertainty... well, it seems ABK buyout has not had a good influence in yearly franchises, yet.
Bungie is too big in the marketing and pr side for a two (one) games company. New management and Sony guidance could be a good thing for Bungie, but it'they have lost a year or more... they need to do things or this can turn a Microsoft buys developer situation.
Graphics settings are not enough clear and automatic config does not work for many players with older hardware. Valve needs to fix it with FSR3, DLSS, etc. automatically activated or something.
Agree... it's been years playing BG3 already.
It is not only the technical difficulties then... but the investment needed to do it. So, they look at how much will they get back on sales, how much Microsoft will pay for being on Game Pass... and, well, sometimes Xbox makes not sense in the equation.
Add Xbox Game Pass to your PC... you can play Xbox Games on other platforms (TV with controllers connected by Bluetooth included). If it is not only on a platform (like Nintendo does), it is not exclusive. I don't understand the down votes... I play Xbox Games on my phone and laptop everyday.
