I had a feeling I'd get a response like that.. of course the game has an all-star cast, but I'm just most excited to hear the Joker.
I thought Mark Hamil reprising his role as the Joker was good, but this trailer was (almost) the sinker. Although it didn't show too much along the gameplay lines, the little bit shown definately looks solid. Please, let this be the first great Batman game! In any case, I can't wait to get my own hands and impressions on it.
wheeeeee, hopefully it doesn't dry up so soon this time!
These are THE brains that redefined the action gaming genre with DMC1.. I simply cannot wait to see what they can cook up with current-gen hardware. I'll definitely bee keeping this one close in my radar this year.. not ALL great games have a calling card of the Killzone 2 or FFXIII (*ahem*) likes.
"Coming Whenever We Feel Like 2010 for PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360"
Hooray.
Edit: LOL, just saw the subtitled trailer. "In Production for PS3 and 360" Wow that's even worse than mine!
"with some exclusive content for the Xbox 360 version"
I love how Capcom claims to be an unbiased game dev, now making all their games multi-plat, yet they pull crap like that. Bu-bu.. we gave you a s**tty Lost Planet port with s**tty extras! It's all a load of crap IMO. If you want everyone to get the most for their money, then GIVE EVERYONE A FAIR SHARE.
And if you think it's only because Lost Planet is a franchise that started on 360, then where was the ...
Wow.. excellent point! I love how Capcom claims to be an unbiased game dev, now making all their games multi-plat, yet they pull crap like that. Even from a different country, I find these reviews very surprising. When I saw the first footage of the game I immediately thought nothing of it.. judging from the reviews it's a pretty solid surprise exclusive, something the PS3 needs more of. I'll definitely at least be renting it now.
"A shared Final Fantasy game, is better than no FF game at all!"
Not when it forces us gamers who bought a PS3 mainly on the Final Fantasy track record to wait an an extra, unnecessary, goddamn year. Trust me, I own a 360 and have put countless hours into playing it. I would be perfectly fine if it was multi-plat with no consequences. But being as how it's obviously delaying the date in which the game would've been released everywhere outside Japan, and being as how Squ...
I remain a strong believer that Nomura and his KH team are using vs.XIII in part to gain experience with the PS3 to make KHIII the best it can be. The mobile-to-console pattern only shows more proof (not counting Final Mixes): KH (PS2) to KH:CoM (GBA) to KHII (PS2) to KH:358/2D (DS) & KH:BBS (PSP) to hopefully KHIII (PS3). I highly doubt he would allow the next big game in his baby franchise to be developed solely for the Wii. He is a graphics whore and wants to make his games blow people...
Amen brother. Massive bubbles for you.
God.. it's just so sad. Squeenix used to be my absolute favorite game dev, but greed and corruption knows no bounds apparantly. Lets just hope it doesn't affect the last glimmering sliver of hope: Tetsuya Nomura and his Kingdom Hearts team. I have a feeling vs.XIII is going to blow XIII out of the water anyway.
If it's anywhere as good as RE4 was.. we sure as hell will have a nominee, for sure.
You won't get the game through Amazon until March 3 (at the EARLIEST, after paying overnight shipping), which sucks. Guess it's better than buying from the c**ksuckers at GameStop..
Don't we all...
I always love when developers take the time to add fun little things like that in their games.. Hideo Kojima is the master of that craft.
but BEWARE, some may be a bit spoilerific.
I'd really like to see what the last game this magazine gave a 9 or 10 was.
EDIT- Seems a forum-goer has posted some of the negative comments in the review:
"Guerrilla does not do much to change the form of battle. You fight the same footsoldiers the whole time, even if they are well designed it does make you tedious of war.
"The problem is that Killzone 2 after long stretches is the same sequence, over and over again."
"...
This is the ONE thing they needed to work the most on. It really is awesome how they took all the negative feedback to heart and treated us like something other than just a "customer." I guess talk is cheap, but I can't wait to see what they pull off! Hopefully this will be a starting block for future titles as well..
and I found myself madly disappointed in Ubisoft. It doesn't even look like a stealth game any more! Pick up trash cans and make distractions out in broad daylight to get to objectives! It's doesn't even feel like Splinter Cell any more.. and it really f***ing bums me out.
Sure, not everything Atlus has released has been gold, but when they hit, they HIT. Persona 3 & 4 rank among my favorite RPGs of all-time (in a list that was only populated by the likes of Lunar 2: Eternal Blue, Legend of Legaia, Chrono Cross, and Legend of Dragoon until recently). Sure, I liked FFVII, X, and XII as much as the next guy, but nothing has grabbed me as much as Persona has since the PS1 era, umm.. unless Kingdom Hearts counts. xP
