Xenogears is just a reminder of how damn good Squaresoft was back in the old days, we didn't need voiced dialogue or every great situation playing out as some dynamic cutscene, all we needed was addicting gameplay, cool characters fascinating worlds and a fantastic soundtrack that had such an impact on you 20 years later you'd still hum the tune while doing something completely unrelated.

I really loved the look of the old games, the artwork was amazing back then, but after Third Strike characters started to look chunky and awkward. The concept art for 4 and 5 was ok but it didn't translate well in game to me.
I feel like moving forward they may need to take a few steps back and focus on what made SF awesome at its core gameplay wise and artistically.
I can almost guarantee the multiplayer will be busted Day One and that is one of my only reasons for wanting to play this game, just to mess around and experience it with a few friends or randoms.
