These articles are down playing the X1X because they don't understand the reason for this machine. The X1X will be the first Legacy console to exist on the console side of the industry. Sony needs to get it's act together and quick! They have yet to prove their network can stand toe to toe with XBL. Sony's response time to a shutdown is a prime example of why they still have issues . Sony hasn't proven they can keep a heavy traffic network up and keep it up when attacked.
