First Sony partnered with Nintendo to make a console add-on drive but, they were never released because Nintendo backed out of the deal at the last minute to go with CD-I Philips. Bold prediction: Nintendo Switch out paces and out sells (lifetime sales) of the PS4. Nintendo Switch is just now turning 2 and that system probably has another 6 or more years in the market. Now watch MS close E3 with Reggie either off site and on screen playing a Switch game over XBL or he (Reggie) show's up on the MS's stage. Yep, XGS is adding Nintendo to their LIVE reach and Sony will have to join or get bought by a bigger fish to stay in the game. Sony's made it clear they won't join MS on anything. Hear's why Sony's approach fails, a single studio house can't guarantee AAA release success after each release without a 100 million userbase. MS knows this and that's why their happy to add Nintnedo to Xbox Live!
It means the gaming world as you know it will soon come to a end. Bigger fish are trying to make a entrance into this market. I disagree MS needs to keep the focus on locking-in the Nintendo Switch partnership, then worry about Sony. Sony's not the problem for MS if MS and Nintendo team-up. Sony will be their own problem for locking themselves to their own platform. The time they undo that PR mess it'll be too late. MS is not in the pressure cooker to release Scarlet actually far from it.
