Here's my question, why do you guys think Sony will give away a feature like this just because MS did it? Giving away such a feature isn't Sony's way of doing things. They'll find a way to charge for it before they give it away. Didn't anyone learn anything from Sony's release of that piece of trash; sad excuse for a classic system PS1?
Sony doesn't have to depend on BC "it's not important" is what we've been told.
Sony is very quiet on this subject and they had good sales on remasters. You can thank the fan base for buying those and that may be the main reason for Sony to go with "no BC in the Box" for PS5.

What it means is you haven't seen MS show up to the party yet. Heck MS didn't show up for the 360 days they let the in-house software dry up. Some had better seat down because they could be shell-shocked by MS Next-gen. Sony better not come to the table with still-born software in the beginning like they did with the PS4 or they maybe in trouble.

Hey I love all this talk. Sony fans are sure that BC is in the bag and Sony will answer the XBL services with PSnow. This is great because the facts state otherwise for BC. Some of Sony's best selling games were remasters Sony fans were happy to purchase. Also, they've been acting like GamePass isn't a threat. I think you guys are missing the big reveal here. This game is years away 2020 at best! You don't just add a main character(esp. a story driven game) at the last minute to put in your game.
