I don't think some of us will agree with you! This was a MS funded game that changed direction because MS asked them to change the game. A multi-platform game would not have received this direction change and Cuphead would probably be very different from where it is today. Also, MS marketed the game too.

This is great my son's content and level 46 stats transferred straight over from My XBL account. My son is extremely happy about this successful sync to his Nintendo Switch. The process was easy and took minutes to complete. Now since his Epic account is linked his stats, skins and additions are linked to both systems. I was blown away when I saw this had actually worked!

How can MS buy put the competitor out of business when they didn't have no more then 5 studios from the start? Troll patent grab!! Someone bought patents (from a dead company) and tried to tie as many companies including MS and Bluehole to the patents so, they could try and grab a quick buck. Nothing to see here.
I don't think the question is could but, when. Arguably MS has the best in the following areas.
1. XBox Live - Live was remade to include PC and other access from other hardware parties. (aka access to the Nintendo Switch. Sony doesn't have that kind of reach nor do they allow easy access to PC's userbase. To Sony's credit they have allowed PC cross-play to a select few titles.
2. MS no longer see's the PC as a competitor to Xbox. ...
Clan you need to chill and get your facts straight. First Mojang, 343, RARE and The Coalition and active studios they haven't been shut down. Second, Sea of Thieves, State of Decay, Crackdown, Ori and Cuphead are not Forza, Halo, Gears Rinse and repeat. (It's time to shut that argument down it's over.) I understand you should fear a hungry Microsoft.
Sure would make one hell of a bargaining chip for Sony for crossplay with with Xbox Live. This would mean MS had two of the most played properties on the planet.

This is a internal test for Microsoft and only they will know the results. This is why it's limited to MS partners and the MS store only. Make no mistake this is a BIG advantage for them for next-gen!
