It's problematic for sure but it's not really close in terms of deafness. This is of course coming down from Sony SIE because PlayStation themselves want/need this marketshare. You would think Sony would want to maintain that marketshare considering PlayStation is their golden goose. And this is not me saying they will lose crazy share in the market either. But it gives advantage to comp. when it doesnt have to.

When given the chance any market lead takes the liberties with price increases. If you defended the price hike on their games, and if you're defending them now that's fine. But no one else in the industry is pressed to do this, and they arguably makes less than Sony in the same market.

No, and what remains of the "want" for it are vestiges of nostalgia. The shows were getting stale, and it cost companies money to get their booths, staff, and everyone in the press there. Costly, exhausting, and beginning to be become obsolete. 1st parties, all of them, can stand on their own now successfully. 2nd and 3rd parties will need help, but even then the first parties do a decent job bringing out those as well.
Seems like a good follow up on the series when I get the money I'll definitely be checking this out.
