LIVE Mesh is very cool, its almost impossible to get into the beta.
As people get into the beta, it gives you an invite -- there is a site setup to exchange these invites...
I'm trying to get in so I can evaluate it for a project I'm working on. Programmer forums all over the web have threads of people trying to get invitations.
You can already get Netflix, CinemaNow and Vongo Digital movie services via Windows Media Center.
Xbox LIVE Marketplace already has HD movies & TV for DL.
Oh, and btw, Sony has sold "nearly 12M" (exactly what they said on the gamers day) -- and as of April 25th, Xbox 360 has sold 19.
Thats a *MORE* than 7 Million gap.
Get your siht straight.
What do you mean "last ditch"? MS can read sales. They know they've got 19M machines in homes, hey know they've got a industry-record attach rate.
Bring this to market, and 3rd party Wii devs are going to love it. And, Xbox 360 is going to drink the Wii's milkshake.
Thats awesome. The last Marvel was really fun. Gring it on.
What? MS fails because it cant magically put files on your computer without downloading them?
Huh?
This story isnt even fcuking accurate. "XP SP3 crashes AMD machines" is wrong and stupid. Its sensational garbage headline.
If you bothered to read the article, you'd know that this is a problem caused by OEMs (HP) installing the incorrect driver for the CPU.
"The problem is that HP, apparently along other OEMs, deploy...
Read the article tool.
HP (and some others) used the same OS image to build both AMD and Intel boxes, as a result, they installed the wrong driver for CPU power managment;
"The problem is that HP, apparently along other OEMs, deploy the same image to Intel-based computers that they do to AMD-based computers. Because the image for both Intel and AMD is the same all have the intelppm.sys driver installed and running. That driver provides power management on In...
Read the story, there is nothing wrong with it. The problem is a OEM install from HP used the same image for Intel as AMD.
Not a problem with the SP and AMD, it is a problem with HP's install.
"The problem is that HP, apparently along with other OEMs, deploys the same image to Intel-based computers that they do to AMD-based computers"

There is no "day to save". If you havent noticed, the Xbox 360 is dominating software sales and is second behind Wii.
You're fantasy world doesnt reflect reality.
That is pretty silly.
Some games will be waggle. The games that are *meant* to be Newton controlled will-be. The market has room for both.
Unfortunatley, my comment above has been nuked by the sony-loyal; but what is going to happen here? 3rd Party Wii developers are going to *FLOCK* to this Newton. Without a doubt. All those low-attach rate wii owners are going to get the Xbox 360 owners supporting the quality of their games.
It would be int...
Greenburg knows more than we do.
I see no reason why MS wont return to the monthly lead. There are a lot of cards yet to be played.
Yeah! It will be like Second Life!
Or, it will be like the 3D world that Microsoft started working on before HOME.
Nice off-topic troll. Get to the open zone ->
I should know better than to feed the trolls, but:
Quicken > MS Money
No. Not even close.
Google > Live Search
Maybe.
Flash > Silverlight
Nope. Try again.
Mac OS > Vista
Nope. Try again.
Wiimote > this MS abomination
Both are licensed from the same 3rd party. Your objection is based soley on emotion...
It looks very promising. I hope MS does bring this Newton to market.
3rd Party Motion-control developers are going to *love* having another market to deliver its games. As a result, motion-control games will get more investment.
Its not like motion-control games are going to replace proper button-and-sticks controlled games (it just doesnt work because of physiology)...
If MS delivers the Newton, its a win-win for everyone.
Are you kidding? If MS brings Newton to market, it will be a 2nd, almost as large (and more eager to buy 3rd party titles) audience to 3rd party Wii developers.
Anything that can run on Wii can easily run on Xbox 360. No one thinks that serious games (AAA hardcore titles) can be controlled by Newton/Wiimote (it just doesnt work without buttons and sticks..)
Im thinking we're going to see it soon - and its going to deliver a massive shift in the marketplace. On...
Of *course* they are planning the next consoles. I think there is no way they can wait 10 years before it is released. The console life cycle has never been that long in the 30 years of home-console gaming, its not going to suddenly just stop advancing.
I absolutely loved this game. The next game cannot come fast enough, its just a wonderful new high-water mark in gaming.
It looked great, played great and had a terrific story. Its great that PC gamers are going to get a chance to play it.
Its really great, I highly recommend it.
We need a UltraMan or Johnny Socko (Giant Robo) game for this generation.
Do you hear me Japanese Developers? Give us some old-school classics.
OMG! Its not a True Exclusive for PS3 anymore!!1!
Team Snipers on Standoff is terrific. I know how I'll be spending my weekend.
