Looks cool. Love the post apocalyptic setting for sure.
I think the author poses an interesting question. I really enjoyed KZ and have all the games, read the wiki and am pretty familiar with the universe.
That being said, I do believe Sony has a flagship franchise on their hand. I really think it's too soon to say that Sony is putting too much faith in the KZ series, seeing as they barely announced the system.
The KZ series had a few moments of greatness IMO, but with the new hardware and a desire for more re...
It's a very good game. I think the maps, assignments, weapons and vehicles they added in each of the DLC packs were substantial. The price for all the DLC's seems a bit steep, but I'm still on the fence about how I feel in that respect.
Overall, I would say they did a good job, def supported their game for a good, long while.
The problem I have with this is that there is a greater discussion to be had when looking at this game. Knee jerk reactions hurt everyone and in this case PETA ends up coming off as some an organization with no level of perspective.
Whaling is a practice that while terrible, is historically part of what was practiced in some regions around the world. If a game chooses to depict it, we have to have some context of how they are doing it before we judge the game. CoD had/has att...
Hard to tell at this point, not everything has been revealed by all the players. I'm sure they have about as good a chance as they ever have tho, they sure have started off strong.
Maybe I'm in the minority, but I would love to see a next generation Colony Wars. Don't know if Sony still owns that IP tho.
This question always emerges, and the answer seems to be YES. There is a transition period where the PS# will still get some of the same games the PS4 does (Watch Dogs), but then the industry will make the switch. It has been like that since the PS2 days, PS1 still had new games coming out for a while.
This is a great concept. I usually go on youtube and watch a few minutes of a walkthrough to get a sense of a game before I buy it if possible.
The problem with reviews is that each person has a different sort of taste. Not to mention, sometimes the people they choose to review games leave me scratching my head. If someone HATES mayo, why would you have that person review how good a potato salad dish is? On the same token, if someone hates FPS, why would you have that perso...
I would agree with you man, I do believe they are aware of the general direction each is going at minimum.
I would also add that there are probably limited options when it comes to affordable solutions for the components in these machines, which would suggest why they both use some of the same chip manufacturers.
At some point, it would seem to all come down to timing, promotion, software and price. But I could be wrong.
Exciting times ...
I think if at any time, now would be the opportunity for the BF series to outshine CoD. The PS4's graphical capabilities, along with the jump in data crunching could make the next BF game spectacular. Hopefully they add more peole per game, and have the prerequisite jump in graphical fidelity. The scale of BF games always made them a bit less detailed than the more enclosed CoD games, and the action in CoD is more constant due to the smaller maps.
I really don't min...
I think this needs to play out. Last generation it is my opinion that many people purchased the 360 because it was the first system out. It demonstrated all the new bells and whistles that many couldn't wait to experience in their own home.
It became a tough act to follow for Sony after giving MS that head start, then releasing a system that was more expensive.
I have been well served by Sony and was able to wait until the release of the PS3, but man...
I believe the "next-generation" of consoles will emphasize recreating a more natural and dynamic set of character interactions. In Hitman Absolution's train station level ( http://www.youtube.com/watc... I believe we see a glimpse of where the PS4 will shine.
I think graphical improvements are a given, but the character interactions, mass AI behaviour, sprawling environments, sound mixin...
I might be in the minority here, but I would really like to see a resurgence of space shooters like wing commander, privateer, x-wing, tie fighter or Colony Wars.
I LITERALLY LOVED THOSE GAMES. Some of my fondest times in gaming back in the day.
Add to your comment "in my opinion", and I would agree with your comment 100%. How good a mp in a game is ends up being up to individual taste.
Just sayin.
Funny part about this article is that Sony put themselves on the line with the reveal. The physical look of the machine is still a mistery, but we know what will be inside for the most part.
Would I have loved to see the physical system, yes. But even if they did show it, I guarantee there would be tons of other things people would be complaining about. It's always a lose, lose in these situations.
Stress I guess. Lol.
RAPE LADY.... WTF?
Quote from South Park... "How do you defeat that which has no life?"... Classic. Good for this guy.
Same reaction I had, but I guess I will wait and see what the deal is before I pass judgement.
Glitch maybe? lol.
