Some people will like the camera, some will not. I don't see why it's such a huge deal to have this optional. Let the people who like cameras get it and folks like myself can skip it.
Sony made the right choice on this IMHO.
Sounds awesome. I think this will definitely be a day one for me on my PS4. 64 players FTW.
I could be wrong, but I thought GT6 was releasing only on PS3. I don't think there has been any word on GT6 for the PS4.
Did I miss something?
I didn't see anyone telling GDDR6 to shut up, I saw people who know GDDR6 as being a troll ask him a direct question, and GDDR6 basically get all defensive.
Basically solidifying the point that he probably hasn't played the game and has an alternate agenda for commenting here.
Plus, he got called all for it quite well I thought.
Seems cool, tho I want to see more to make a call on the "innovation" factor. Almost like the new technology is going to drive FPS to new levels.
I'm still looking forward to BF4 the most. 64 players is finally possible, but can't wait to see what comes up next.
Do they have a list of the award recipients? I would like to see how many Sony studios won awards vs. MS.
Would be an interesting list I bet.
The MS DRM is just lying dormant, then it will strike after a few years, like the shingles when you get chicken pox. lol.
This sort of candid conversation is why I think Sony will do very well with the PS4. Nothing like learning from your mistakes and using those lessons to drive you forward.
Makes sense. But there are so many other stories to tell that are most likely just as compelling.
We saw a small portion of an infected world, I can't wait to see what lies in the deep, dark recesses of TLOU lore. Awesome game, really takes video games to a new level of story telling and emotion.
Project metro got annoying at times, especially when you spawned down in the subway. I hope they do something to make the map more balanced. Otherwise, great choices for remakes.
Looks can be deceiving, plus, many have said otherwise. I don't think you can make any of the statements you just did, without actually holding the controller.
Unless you were at E3.....
I thought DriveClub was closer to Projec Gotham and Forza 5 was comparable to Gran Turismo.
At least that's how I have heard it explained. You are actually the first person I have read describe otherwise, am I missing something?
Man, I hope they ironed out overheating issues on these new consoles, I see a lot of people putting in many hours of play.
Looks great, wonder how it will compare to Drive Club on the PS4. And I know they are different types of racers, but I'm speaking graphical fidelity.
This could be said about many things, but the fact of the matter is that the whole information landscape has changed.
Today, we have the internet and the cost of these games, create a situation where people seek this information out. Pandora's box is opened, no going back.
This makes sense. I have seen a lot of people talk about the ram that the X1 uses as being sufficient, but they are not looking at the bigger picture.
Through the console generation, games will only become more demanding on the system resources, this move by Sony that might be seen by some as overkill, will most likely give the PS4 the longevity over the long run.
Smart move by Sony.
Interesting article. I think the key phrase here is "price sensitive consumers". At the end of the day, $100 difference is $100 difference. The economy is getting no better and as Christmas approaches, the prospect of saving $100 is going to appeal to many parents and gamers on budget alike.
The amorphous nature of this "Cloud" concept that MS is trying to sell is a bit risky and I doubt it will make a difference to many as the benefits of such a network s...
The touchpad on the PS4 controller essentially changed the game IMHO. Imagine gestures taking the place of physical buttons, making it much easier to adapt PC games to the PS4 due the unlimited uses of the touchpad.
At least developers have more options now, it's up to them to find innovative ways of using it.
Depends if I get home and download Drive Club PS+ edition first, or pop in either KZ:SF or BF4.
The possibilities are endless.
One thing is for sure, I will be having a very happy holiday season with my PS4, my family and friends.

I don't know how they "Forced" cell or BD. These were essential for....you know, making EVERYTHING in the PS3 work. Cell was the main processor and BD was the medium by which you played PS3 games that weren't on the HD.
A camera is different, because not all X1 games are going to use Kinect.
I think there are some fundamental flaws with the parallels you attempted to draw in your comment.
